Yep, this is definitely a local Irish bar——local in that at 3 pm in the afternoon, all the seats are filled with the “ locals” who look like they have been there since opening. Irish in that if you’re not White, the bartender will take his sweet time coming over to get your order. They have a couple of craft beers on tap plus the Irish and American standards. Plenty of tv screens around and they seem to always have one group on soccer (“footie”) and one group on another sport (basketball, etc). Prices were the norm for LA at about $7 a pint. Not sure if they had any happy hour specials because I didn’t see any signs of it anywhere. If you really want better service and food, do yourself a favor and head down the street to Backstage or almost anywhere else.

My bf and I love it here, friendly staff, clean, good drinks and yummy food. Bar games are cool if your lucky to get one before another group does, bathrooms are clean, you can smoke outside, Karaoke nights are so much fun. The hot wings are delicious!! They have a little jukebox option, you just have to tell the bartender after you pay for it so that they can play your tune (not sure if they fixed that, can sometimes be hard to get their attention to do that for you, or they might forget). Update: we went back after 9+ months, food is still yummy, drink reasonably price during happy hour we were there around 4pm on a Monday. Got some pics this time. I had the special of the day and hubby had the Ruben. The onion rings were delicious!

I left my credit card on tab and the bartender closed my tab out with a bunch of drinks i did not drink or order or approve of. Then on top of that the bartender did not like me for some reason so she decided to add her own tip on my credit card without my permission and steal from a paying customer (ME and probably others that were to drunk to notice) shame on the bartender. So the paper bill that i had in my pocket did not match the amount my card was charged. I would have not even checked but my credit card alerted me and let me know some bad stuff was happening. When i checked the credit card bill and the paper bill i knew something was wrong because they did not have the same total amount. Be very careful everyone.

I have proof. 2 bills, and 2 different totals.

Update 03-27-22

I got a reply from the owner laughing at me for leaving my review and not calling the manager first. Even if i call the manager i feel everyone should know the truth about this place. I'm not removing my review. I get millones of views so jokes on you. I'm not the first reviewer to complain about the bill being wrong or being over charged. I've reported this to my credit card company and reported it to the bbb.

You're reply was not helpful and very rude for being the owner replying to a customer that was cheated at a place you own.

Bartenders over charge and steal and management/owner does not care about the truth.

WARNING, WARNING, WARNING. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CREDIT CARD ON TAB. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE TO CHARGE YOU CORRECTLY, DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BILL EVERY TIME. BE WARNED BE...

Whats the fuss?

*Disclaimer, Dude to Dudette ration is about 9 dudes to every 1 girl the night I went. So if you are looking to meet a lovely lady BYOB (bring your own broad)

A friend of mine wanted to try this place out so I read the complaints on here (as most probably do) and thought maybe it had gone down hill. I spent a LOT of time here in the early 2000s, I would say I was pretty regular at least once a week.

Its exactly the same. Even one of the bartenders (who didnt recognize me) but thats ok.

I mean... its a pub... theres cold beer, good food and there were a TON of people there for a Wednesday Night.

I struck up a couple conversations with random people to feel out the vibe and they were all pretty chill. TVs were plentyful, music was good. Im not sure why some of the people have negatively commented but was not my experience.

I was there to catch up with a college professor and one of my college buddies. We talked outside and drank beers for a couple of hours and it was cool. I would definitely come back.

An Irish guy helped me out behind the counter. He was polite and nice, poured a...

My experience here is always great unless it’s Friday when Karen works ( blonde curly haired lady). She is a raging hag. She has terrible costumer service skills. And on more than one occasion she has tried to up charge me on a pint of lagunitas. Case in point the pint is 7 dollars and she has told me 9 three times after calling her out she rolled her eyes and snatched the money out of my hand. I come to this bar about 4 times a week and work right next store everyone here knows me by name and is extremely excellent besides her. But I want to tell you that if she is working your better off going somewhere else. Gene, Pete, Shannon, Michelle, and Vicky are beyond amazing and they always take care of me when I come in. If she is here much longer I will not be coming back here and I will make sure to tell anyone that asks about this...
