Bay Area Coffee Diaries | Early Summer

NOTICE: expect fee for credit card usage. I was going to rate maybe a three or four star just because of that fee for using a credit card but then I tasted their coffee and their service was better then average. A fee for credit card usage at a coffee shop is both stupid and pointless. There's a $10 minimum they say when most of their items on the menu are under $10 so this is a way of screwing over the customer which is really really irritating. I would expect a fee somewhere like a Target Walmart convenience store or even like a fair but this is a coffee shop God damn it! I was pissed. But, and a big but their service was really good they noticed that the cream they gave me for my coffee was running low and immediately asked if I needed more to my surprise. Last but not least I'm a big coffee drinker and I drink it for enjoyment not just for caffeine and I like to try different places. This place had GOOD coffee, so far the best I've tasted in Cupertino. So I kind of disregarded the fee and gave them a five-star

4.5 stars! I'm a big fan of this hole in the wall. Whenever I'm in Cupertino grabbing food, this is usually my go-to spot after a meal. The tea quality is pretty good and the boba is always a really nice chewy texture. I usually just go for the classic Pearl Milk Tea or Pudding Milk Tea, which is rare for me! I normally dislike how boring black milk tea... but I really like the taste of it here! Very easy to drink, and has an addicting simple flavor. The perfect milk-to-tea ratio. I also really love their oolong milk tea!! Their tea quality seriously caught me off guard. If you love the specific taste of tea, I definitely recommend. I have never tried the bagels, fried chicken, or the toasts... but people definitely rave about them! A lot of tech bros and office workers seem to frequent this place. Sometimes there can be a line to use the ordering kiosks. There's a couple seating areas outside and their indoor seating is currently closed off.

4 stars only because of the MATCHA TEMPTATION HONEY TOAST. 2 stars otherwise.

MATCHA TEMPTATION HONEY TOAST MATCHA TEMPTATION HONEY TOAST MATCHA TEMPTATION HONEY TOAST MATCHA TEMPTATION HONEY TOAST

Matcha Temptation Honey Toast is the best the honey toast here. Every other honey toast is way too sweet. I'm not a fan of green tea flavored stuff, but Matcha Temptation Honey Toast is an exception. I only get Matcha Temptation Honey Toast when I visit Cafe Lattea now; forget everything else. My friend who isn't a fan of sweets was skeptical, but ended up enjoying Matcha Temptation Honey Toast.

No seats? No worries, I've ordered Matcha Temptation Honey Toast to-go multiple times, and Matcha Temptation Honey Toast still tasted great.

Stop looking at the menu. Don't get tempted by other things that only looks more appealing (fell for this trap way too many times before I found Matcha Temptation Honey Toast). Save time, save money, and trust Matcha Temptation Honey Toast.

This place gets very packed--especially with high school students--so if you don't like crowded places when catching up with someone over tea, then I suggest you check out another cafe. But if you grew up in Cupertino and want to run into a few random people you know, then check this place out (find seating may be unlikely at night).
