My order took one hour to prepare. By the time it reached me, the fried items had already gotten soggy and cold.

The waiting process is exceedingly frustrating. The staff don't consistently call order numbers when they are ready, so even if you're waiting outside you don't know what number is coming up, and when yours might be ready. When they do call, they mumble softly such that you can only hear it if you were in front of the counter. And they call the number in Chinese. I understand Chinese, but plenty of their other customers don't. And they only call your number once. If you missed the first call, your order will be sitting on the counter unattended until you finally realize that you needed to walk up and ask them in person to hand your order to you.

Some customers resort to walking up to the counter to ask about their orders, which is understandable. What is baffling is that the staff will drop everything to fulfill the order of a customer in front of them, even though the order is not ready. So if you were patiently waiting for your turn, expect to wait longer than others because the staff is busy interrupting themselves and running around trying to satisfy orders out of turn. This is probably one of the reasons they are so damned inefficient.

In summary, there are better bubble tea shops that taste better and don't make you suffer an hour of unpleasant waiting. My wife and I went to Truedan right after getting our orders from this place, because we needed something nice to wash away our unpleasant experience with Ume Tea.
