China Wok — Restaurant in Cypress

Update 2021: They never have the full menu and this time there was a long straight hair in one of our hot and sour soups 🤦🏾‍♀️. Gross!

Update: after a long run of great, they seem to have a different cook or something. Their beef and broccoli portion is a lot less and less flavorful. The Singapore Mei fun, they've cut the amount of curry so it's not spicy and more like the House Special Mei fun. They used to include sweet and sour, the last few times they have not. May be time to find another place, though I'm willing to give them another chance.

This place is great! I found it online and thought we'd give it a go. I'm from STL, so nowhere will ever be like home, but home... But this is the best I've found in Cypress. We usually do Fang's, because my kids loved it, but after trying here, this is where we'll stay. Even my picky kids prefer the nuggets and chicken, here. We order about once a week and no regrets. Good portion sizes and prices. Great diversity in menu. They also have Chow Mei fun, which is my favorite. Great flavoring of rice and meat. If there's a problem, they promptly fix it. If you haven't tried here, give it a go, you won't be disappointed. My faves are the shrimp egg rolls, spare ribs and house special Chow Mei Fun... But my family has a list...

Ordered from here for the first time today for me and my girlfriend. Got the egg rolls, sweet and sour shrimp, and the shrimp & garlic combo with egg drop soup a cheese puff, and fried rice for both meals.

The egg rolls were so-so (Jack in the Box's are better, but these were cheaper), the sweet and sour shrimp was really good, shrimp and garlic was really good, fried rice was good, cheese puff was good, but I wish it had crab in it too and not just cream cheese in a wonton. The egg drop soup however, was probably the worst egg drop soup that I've ever had. It was so watery, near flavorless, and so disappointing on this chilly day. I tried to doctor it with some spices but nothing could save that garbage. Maybe their other soups aren't horrible, or today was an off day, but I currently don't recommend the egg drop soup. Hands down my FAVORITE chinese place! I've been looking for chicken teriyaki on a stick for literally 6 years, and TODAY I found a place that has it. I am in love. The food I ordered tonight was phenomenal. You can just tell when someone loves what they do. Food tasted healthier than most, not greasy. The young lady was so amazing and kind.

I am shook with what I just experienced.

This will be my go-to chinese place, will refuse to go anywhere else. If you need a good place to eat, look no further.

Y'all will definitely be seeing us again. Maybe a lot more than I'd like...
