I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pho Bo & Bambu in Cypress, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the stage for an enjoyable meal.
The restaurant's decor is tastefully done, with a blend of modern and traditional elements that create a comfortable and stylish ambiance. The seating arrangement is well thought out, offering both cozy booths and spacious tables for larger groups.
Now let's talk about the food. The menu at Pho Bo & Bambu is diverse, featuring a combination of Vietnamese and Asian fusion dishes. As a fan of Vietnamese cuisine, I was particularly excited to try their pho, and I wasn't disappointed. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the thinly sliced beef was tender and cooked to perfection. The portion size was generous, and the accompanying plate of fresh bean sprouts, basil, and lime added an extra layer of freshness to the dish.
Aside from pho, I also sampled their spring rolls, and they were delicious. The rolls were packed with a medley of fresh vegetables and shrimp, wrapped in a delicate rice paper. The accompanying peanut sauce was a delightful complement, adding a savory and slightly sweet flavor.
The service at Pho Bo & Bambu Cypress was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to offer recommendations and answer any questions I had.
Lastly, I must mention the drink menu. Pho Bo & Bambu offers an impressive selection of beverages, including traditional Vietnamese iced coffee and boba tea. I opted for a refreshing mango smoothie, and it was the perfect accompaniment to my meal.
Overall, I had a fantastic dining experience at Pho Bo & Bambu Cypress. The combination of delicious food, inviting ambiance, and excellent service made it a memorable visit. Whether you're a fan of Vietnamese cuisine or looking to try something new, I highly recommend paying a visit to Pho Bo & Bambu Cypress. You won't be...
Read moreI have been coming to this restaurant that my wife suggest for over 6 months at least once a month. The pho as always seemed ok. The location is closer to us than Can China town, so we have been going there for a while. I usually wait awhile to give a review and this has to do with actual seeing little details that inform you of hoe well the business actually is. When we first came in the late summer of last year, I notice the serve was typical for an Asian restaurant, the food was good. When I went back to the restrooms I noticed, the restrooms needed cleaning. Later, after every visit , I noted the same areas needed to be cleaned. I also noted a urinal that was covered over. This was over several months, each time it seemed worse, the uninal has never been replaced. When I mentioned it to my wife, my 11 year old daughter mentioned, she noticed the same things as well, as well as seeing a female employee go in and not wash her hands afterwards. One thing I have learned from the restaurants my friends have owned in the past, is if the employees can't manage the cleaning of the public area, they will also be failing in the kitchen cleanliness. We won't ever be back. I thought of posting the photos, but didn't want to...
Read more06/01/2024 Tried this place out last Friday. We ordered the combo special (entree, appetizer, drink for $13.75). We both picked pho for the entree. The broth was excellent but on the smaller side (typically a medium not large bowl size). Also had the special Bambu #1 drink, with less sugar requested. Very refreshing drink/dessert which hit the spot for that hot day.
Came back today on a weekend and wanted to try their rice for lunch. We ordered broken rice with pork chop, and another with grilled pork. Both dishes included a full scoop of rice, a surprising amount of meat, sunny side up egg, egg roll, and pickled veggies. Meat was not too chewy, and well-seasoned. The dish filled me up and wasn't lacking in meat like another place by 290/Mason. And for the hard-to-please hubby, there was no complaint about it being "too salty" for a change.
Overall, I'm glad this place is here to save a 25-35 min trip to Katy or Bellaire, respectively, for our authentic Vietnamese fixes. Also a plus is that they allow us to bring our small service dog in, never making a big deal about her presence.
Will try BBH or another noodle dish next time. Our new...
