Wolfies — Restaurant in Texas

Wolfie's has been my local since 2007 starting at 249 then the 290 location. I moved locations when I moved house. Over the past six months service and the facility have degraded. Lots of staff changes have made the experience not as enjoyable. Waiting longer than expected for service is just an inconvenience that can be over come by getting up to find the waitress taking her break in the corner. The most recent change is a scam they have developed over the last couple of months. They pull this one on slow nights, I guess so that only a few patrons are around if it back fires. The scam is they deliver your bill without an itemized receipt. Both times I caught them they added around $10 to my bill. I noticed this and requested the itemized receipt and so quickly she apologized with an explanation that someone else items were added to my bill. The first time at the bar the bartender told me what happened as soon as I asked for the itemized bill. Almost like a guilty conscience. The second time I noticed I asked a manager for the itemized receipt and the waitress brought with an apology. I made her aware this was a second occurrence in 4 weeks. It seems organized. Who knows how many times it happened when I just paid the bill. So sorry to say goodbye to Wolfie's after 12 years. I have contacted the Texas attorney general with my observations. Is...

BIG BAD EXPERIENCE!! BEWARE WAS a frequent diner and loved the food and Drinks.

Used to be a great place. Been a patron since they opened years ago. Great if you enjoy being ignored by the waitstaff while they drink shots. Sadly disappointed in the level of service demonstrated. On our way out someone in my party made a negative comment loudly about the service to me. The server overheard and chased us out to the parking lot telling us to never come back if we don't like her service! I went back to diffuse this situation with management. The manager advised me that he saw problems on both sides. I should take care of my side and he will do the same. WOW!! We were very patient and understanding prior to our exit. I even left a 15% tip even though we were neglected and was nice through this whole ordeal. Being chased and Verbally abused in an obnoxious and aggressive manor by WOLFIE MARISSA was completely unexpected. Sadly, a resolution was not achieved. Update: We returned to this location to confirm consistency and we were disappointed so the rating dropped from a 5 to a 3. The food was not great and the service was terrible. I will give it a 3rd time and hope it improves and to try and bring this rating back up. I do not recommend the chicken fried steak, that needs a lot of work.

Impressive. Call me super surprised by this place. I would consider this more of a restaurant with a 1980's sports bar. The atmosphere is older and the tables, chairs have seen better days but the food and service here shines higher than what you would expect. The staff here is so polite, attentive and impressive. The food was really great. We tried an array of items and were impressed enough to want to go back. In case you want to know, this is a place you can bring kids without exposing them to a bar. There are two sides to this restaurant and you cannot see the bar from one side. The menu here is also vast and looks to be able to satisfy all taste buds. This is a real hidden gem.
