Wouldn't recommend this place. I'm not a lounge and grill regular but I came here by myself and was expecting a chill vibe. The manager/host showed me around since I was "new" which was inconspicuous and seemed genuine. He kind of rushed me to order but I still didn't think anything was out of the ordinary. The wings I ordered then came out mostly/completely burnt. I looked at the guy and he looked at the food and looked at me and asked if everything was good. Feeling meek and starving from hunger I picked around the burnt edges and tried to eat. I did call the host to complain about the food and he said oh my I will certainly tell the chef. Then he never came back to my table to address it. I was trying to relax and ease my mind but different people from the restaurant kept coming up to me every 3-5 minutes to check if I was "good." The lounge was already dead but then cleared out completely right before an older couple came in. The host seated them across from me but then they had a whispered conversation and they were moved across the room. In an already totally empty, overly spacious restaurant. When I got up to find a way to pay (since no one came up to give me a bill) I asked again about the food quality. Why wouldn't that be comped? In fact, that was why I had initially given him the benefit of the doubt in not offering me another meal. The host said "Well I thought you enjoyed it." I mean anyone can make a good tahini sauce but no I did not enjoy my burnt food. I said but you didn't even offer to replace the food. Remember he never came back to the table. I'm not going to get up from my table at a restaurant and chase down the chef to make me another meal. The host simply selected "no tip" for me and insisted that I pay the full amount for the food. Presumably a security guy loomed in the background as if I was going to make a scene? With my Gucci bag and full face of Sephora makeup? I obliged, paid, and calmly left the establishment to their anxious relief. It's giving...racial profiling. It's giving...sections for colored people. It's giving...won't stay in business long with such terrible customer service. Go elsewhere. I...
Read moreAfter visiting a concert in the nearby Berry Center, our small group of 3 😁, well, we were hungry!!! Let's explore on Google Maps. Found Messa Lounge & Grill, which was still open for late night dinner. We decided to sit outside and enjoy the nice evening there. Ms. Maria, not only escorted us to our table, but was also our server for the evening! She did a wonderful job! And a little later. Ms. Niti joined her in serving!!! They were such a pleasure with their beautiful smiles!
We started off by sharing Falafel. My friends had Chicken Tawook Wraps with fries. (Sorry, I was really hungry and started digging in before I thought of any kind of pictures. Luckily, I did think to take one of the Falafel ☺️😉!!!) Oh, I had the Lamb chops with rice and Greek salad!!! The plate had 4 lamb chops 😋, tender! Yum! And full - had to get a to go box. Wasn't about to let the awesome food go to waste! Rounded out with a Turkish coffee. The meal a great experience by itself, but with friends and being able to sit outside - awesome!!! Facilities, as well as inside dining area, clean. Wheelchair designated parking right in front of the...
Read moreThe guy who took my order on the phone was very nice. I get this is a Hookah place but it was really overwhelming for me personally and I felt like I even tasted it in my food. I ordered a Gyro and asked for red sauce only, I instead was given hummus inside and no red sauce. There wasn’t really any toppings inside, very little. The gyro tasted very very bland and the fries were probably the worst fries I ever had. At least add some Tony’s or salt and pepper or something, I felt like I chewed on greasy cardboard. I’m usually never picky, my boyfriend got a burger and it was tiny and it was pre-cooked freezer meat from what it looked and tasted like. We got a hummus to share, it looked like it was drenched in olive oil, we couldn’t even taste hummus at all, very weird taste. The pita bread was also extremely thin and flat. We love gyro hut and gyro king and frequent there multiple times a week, the food here was extremely underwhelming compared to those places. I wanted to like this place, but the food was not it from what we...
