Toast La La — Restaurant in Cypress

I asked for recommendation since their menu has interesting options in the toast section which is new for a Vietnamese place. The lady who I believe is head chef recommends smoke salmon toast. She is very enthusiastic. She also thinks of a drink to pair with the toast for me. I got matcha milk tea. She recommends coconut milk as it brings out matcha flavor better. I also got tiramisu for dessert. The toast is a pleasant surprise. Smoked salmon is high quality, no fishy smell. I like the combination of ingredients. However, the horse radish sauce on top, tasting similar to wasabi, is quite strong. If you can’t handle, remember to ask for less. Coconut matcha milk tea is also good. We stopped by for breakfast on a Thursday morning. We were in the mood for something different for breakfast and stopped by this Vietnamese spot near one of our jobs.

The restaurant is small, but everything was clean and very well decorated. It has a very cozy vibe with Christmas decorations to match the season.

We ordered the chicken gyoza, which was nice and crispy, with a good flavor paired with a sweet dipping sauce. We also ordered the Toast La La plate, which came with steak, eggs, fries, some vegetables, and bread. Nice flavors in everything, including the shredded pork banh mi sandwich we ordered along with the miso soup. The coffee was fresh and hot.

This place was amazing!!! From the service to the food it was excellent. The waitress/owner explained everything to me in detail, and was patient as this was my first time. I had the salted ice coffee which was so good with coco on top. I tried the avocado toast (my daughter and my fav) , and it is literally the best I have had!!!
