Update I gave the place another chance and, again, the sushi wasn’t fresh, and the appetizers were subpar. I don’t know how this place gets such high reviews. There is clearly some cut costs happening because the food just doesn’t taste right.

I used to be a huge fan of this restaurant and I’ve eaten there around 10x or so and patronized them the first day they opened. It’s gone downhill quickly. The sushi does not taste fresh, the soft drinks are flat. The server kept coughing with her mouth open while bringing our food, and they are extremely cheap with napkins which puzzles me. When I ask for napkins, I mean more than one 🙄 What made me not want to come back is that I ordered mussels without sauce, and they brought it to me sauced. Simple enough mistake. While waiting for the waitress to come back so I could send it back, I twisted one of the muscles around with my fork (for no particular reason, just fiddling with the food). Once I let her know I ordered it without the sauce, she took it and brought back more mussels without the sauce. I noticed it was the SAME mussels she’d previously served with the same mussel I’d oddly twisted in the same way in the same spot on the plate. Given that the mussels were ice cold, I assumed they just rinsed the sauce off in cold water.
