I have always had great experiences with zaxbys but tonight was absolutely terrible. I got to the drive through window to pay for my order and the card reader kept reading card declined. No big deal. I knew the money was there so I pulled to the side and called my bank to make sure there wasn’t an issue with funds just in case, and there wasn’t. I went inside and politely asked the cashier to run my card again because I thought maybe there was an issue with their machine and maybe if we tried again the card would take. The cashier responded “I’ve already ran that card twice and it’s declined so it’s declined” and turned her back to me. I told them I was going to the bank to get cash and I’d be right back. I came back to the restaurant, paid for my food, and they had thrown it away. I had to wait 15 more minutes for them to remake my order, only for them to mess it up. I pointed out they had given me the wrong order and it took them 10 more minutes to fix it. So finally after 1 and a half hours at Zaxbys I finally got my food. I can understand being busy, and I can understand having a bad day. I cannot understand being rude to customers when it is uncalled for. The wait was not the issue, the card declining was not the issue. The pathetic customer service was the issue. Needless to say if zaxbys doesn’t step up their customer service game, I will...
Read morePro tip: use the Zaxby's app to get your food quicker when there's a big line. I wanted to give 5 stars but the poor design of the parking lot and poor placement of the entrance leaves me without a choice. If you try coming here any time after 8 pm, you won't be able to safely get into the drive through line as it frequently extends out into the main road which also blocks traffic for those who may want to go to Wendy's or the Auto shop next door. Not really sure what could be done about this but would like to see a change. The drive thru line commonly blocks access to the mobile pickup parking spots as the parking lot is designed for one way traffic, which is, in my opinion, the most egregious "offense" because it subverts the reasoning for using mobile ordering for the faster pickup as you have to wait for half the drive thru line to move up before access to the correct parking spot for mobile pickup is available. Read moreI just wanted to say THANK YOU SOO MUCH to the staff that was working on 11/1/24 between 7-8p.m. You guys were so helpful and caring during such a busy time, this kind of customer service is what's missing in the world today. Backstory: after working a long shift and having a back procedure done, I sent my husband to pick up an order I had pre-ordered the day before (knowing I would be unable to cook). The order did not come through the system correctly due to the system being overloaded. He said a minimum of 4 workers were very apologetic and proceeded to help fix the issue with no attitude or passive aggressiveness (which is rare in customer service these days). The order was given to him only 30mins past the pick up time (considering the line for the place was wrapped around the block) was pretty amazing. He said the whole crew including the kitchen staff kept a friendly positive attitude about the entire situation.
