My recent visit to Pueblo's Mexican Cuisine was nothing short of a culinary catastrophe. From the moment I walked through the doors, I knew I had made a grave mistake.
Let's start with the ambiance. Pueblo's Mexican Cuisine seemed to be stuck in a time warp from the 1980s. The decor was outdated, with faded colors and tacky decorations that did nothing to enhance the dining experience. It felt like stepping into a time capsule of bad taste.
Moving on to the menu, it was a one-way ticket to disappointment. The selection was incredibly limited, offering the same tired and cliché dishes that you can find at any generic Mexican restaurant. There was a complete lack of innovation or originality, leaving me questioning why I bothered to dine there in the first place.
The service was equally disastrous. The staff seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than attending to the needs of the customers. It was nearly impossible to get their attention, and when we finally did, their lackluster attitude made it clear that they couldn't care less about providing a pleasant dining experience. Our orders were consistently wrong, and it felt like pulling teeth to get them corrected.
Now, let's talk about the food. The so-called "authentic" Mexican cuisine was anything but. The flavors were dull and lacked any depth or complexity. It was evident that the chefs had no understanding of the true essence of Mexican cuisine. The dishes were poorly executed, with overcooked meats, soggy tortillas, and sauces that tasted like they came straight out of a can. It was clear that no care or passion was put into the preparation of the food.
To add insult to injury, the prices at Pueblo's Mexican Cuisine were outrageously high for the abysmal quality of food and service provided. It felt like a slap in the face to pay such exorbitant prices for a subpar dining experience.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against wasting your time and money at Pueblo's Mexican Cuisine. The outdated ambiance, uninspired menu, lackluster service, and tasteless food make it a regrettable choice for anyone seeking an authentic and enjoyable Mexican dining experience. Save yourself the disappointment and seek out a restaurant that truly understands and respects the art of...
Read moreIf there is zero, I would do it. This is not abougt being mad. We were a large group of people and my specific order did not come out right. I did not ask others about their experience. I think they were fine. The last time I went to this restaurant, I was very satisfied with the service. I even made friends with the waiter. Since I led people to go there after our adventurous hiking, I had the need to do this review about my own experience. I ordered a small bowl of chicken soup. I said I liked a lot of pico degallo. The bill came out 18 dollars. The waitress said the charged extra for that. What kind of extra? It was a super small bowl. It was a tiny little saucer of cilantro and white onions and tomatoes. What was this? We went to El Campaseno and the treats were nice. They never for any extra cilantro????? But this is a super TINY BOWL of soup. Making money out of tiny little saucer of extras? lol I did call the restaurant and talked to the manager. I said something about a manager not smiling....He said which MANAGER....I am one of the managers....he said. He said that why I called him now and I could have said something when I was at the restaurant. LOL I took the time to call because it was better. And I made it clear to the waitress about the issue but I let go. Who did not smile? No, they did not smile.....DOES IT MATTER? I am only a customer who just wanted to have a nice bowl of soup. CHECK EL CAMPASENO and a few other restaurant in your location. They do not do this......IT WAS DISAPPPOINTING??? And why anyone of you even get personal....?? We are just customers and we do not go that direction too many times. Because the owner said so??? One bad experince is enough of the choice to make it there. Trust me....I looked forward to eating there.....from my past experience.....
What is this? Because you have a lot of customers and you are right downtown??????
Hopefully, when I think I would go back there because it was conveneint. I expect nothing like this....or you lose customers.
Has things changed now? We...
Read moreMet up with my husband for a late lunch here, we figured we'd give them another try as it has been months since it last visit. We ordered our drinks & a chorizo cheese dip. Our waiter brings out the cheese dip & no chips! He rushes off telling us he'll be right back with the chips, but instead goes to the machine to get another tables check that the OWNER is talking to & then takes their payment before disappearing into the kitchen! A few minutes later he's still not bright our chips & the dip is getting cold in the AC, so hubby walks past the owner still chatting it up with the ladies who has to be rung up before we get our chips. He goes to the doorway to the kitchen & see sees our waiter headed out, WITHOUT ANY CHIPS! He says we're still waiting on chips, he goes to get them. (No excuse, it was not busy, you can tell by how long the owner is spending chatting at the same table.) We really should have got up & left, but we were starving. So I ordered one of the chefs specials, Chicken Chimayo. I found out it is not made to order. I should have ordered something else, but I'd seen this dish on an earlier visit months ago(it was probably was made to order back then) & it looked delicious. Mine however was not. The chicken & shrimp were overcooked hard a rubbery, there was very little shrimp or cheese. Definitely not stuffed & for nearly $14. I'd expected better. There was not enough of the Chimayo pepper & honey sauce either. My husband got his usual & was satisfied. This wasn't a complicated dish, I don't know why they'd need to make it ahead. But clearly cooking it & reheating it is not the way to go. My husband wanted me to complain, but I reminded him we've made complaints in the past about them bringing appetizers with no plates & expecting dinners to use the ONE napkin the silverware is wrapped up in. They've made no changes though we were told they would. I wish Gordon Ramsay would come over to Pueblo's & get them to care about all of their dishes & their dinners again. This used to be one of our favorite...
