Dahlonega Visitors Center — Attraction in Dahlonega

These people are not very welcoming. They only want people who are wealthy to visit and live in Lumpkin County. They are incredibly nosy and way too concerned with what other people are doing. Instead of minding their own business, they want to tell other people what they can and can't do with their property. Their own lives must be miserable. Go anywhere else. This town doesn't deserve your tourist dollars. They let unscrupulous home builders steal your money and refuse to bring charges and then want to be holier-than-thou when you try your best. They don't have any idea of what being neighborly means. You would think that someone who works at a visitor' center would understand the meaning of the word "hospitality." But, alas, like many small towns, the gene pool here is more like a wading pool or a large puddle. Lumpkin County planning and code enforcement seem to make things up as they go along and the rules change depending on who you are. Avoid this corrupt town...

I highly recommend stopping in at the Visitors Center if you visit Dahlonega. They have a ton of brochures and menus for pretty much every restaurant on the square, which was very helpful. It is clean and air conditioned and a nice place to make a plan about to see and do in the area. They also have a selection local items available for purchase.

The employees were super helpful and friendly when we were there. They were able to answer all our questions about the local restaurants and attractions and were very kind.

There are public restrooms located inside the hallway beside the Visitors Center. They were clean and well stocked and easily accessible. They even stay open beyond the time the regular Visitors Center has closed. This is very helpful, as many towns sadly do not offer this...

Great place to stay when Visiting Georgia throughout the season changes. 🍑🍃🥶❄️still visiting since Way back when times in TPA/Clwt/St Pete aka The Burg - were familia oriented idk. Either way.
