My husband & I spent one night in the Southern Comfort room. This room has a great design. It has touches of old perfectly combined with modern. It had a lot of extra amenities which were appreciated-large umbrella, mini-fridge with bottled water, throw blankets, coffee bar, & fireplace. On the surface the room seemed clean. However, the ceilings are very high & we noticed quite a few cobwebs on the ceilings and lights. There was also a lot of dust and debris under furniture, especially a corner chair. Our main concern with this room was privacy. If you are one that needs ANY privacy in the bathroom you should choose a different room. The barn door looked nice with the room, but as you’ll see from pictures there’s at least 4-6” on either side and the bottom that are wide open, and staring straight into the shower which is also open. You will have zero privacy in the bathroom. The window by the bed also has blinds that don’t completely cover the window. They leave about 6” open at the bottom of the window and the sides leave about 1/2” exposed. We propped a pillow at the bottom but there definitely needs to be a curtain that can be closed. I have a personal preference for white sheets and bedding. When sheets are patterned and colors it gives me the feeling it’s to hide stains (although I do believe these were clean). The bed was a little firm for our liking, but we were only staying one night so it wasn’t a huge issue. We enjoyed the location to the square and it was nice to walk to shops and...

I was traveling to the area for a wedding, and didn’t want to stay in one of the cookie cutter style hotels. Through online searches, I came to the Old Storehouse Inn. While it’s always a gamble to go to a place based on searches, the Old Storehouse so far exceeded my expectations!!! It looked really charming online, but in person, all the added details made it such an incredible delight that I wish I had more time there! The building is from the 1800’s, so it had all the long gone detail work from that era- I loved the wood plank floors and the fireplace- but it was updated with both modern and antique style touches that stay true to the feeling of the building but enhance the experience. There was a coffee station and lovely bath items, and the bed was super comfortable! There were extra throw blankets which came in handy as it dipped into the 30s when I was there! Mike the owner was so easy to communicate with, and he wanted to make sure you had whatever was needed for your stay. I stayed in the Mason room upstairs and loved it! Again, I’m only sorry I had to leave early and wasn’t able to enjoy this lovely historical gem for a...

Spectacularly quaint! You can’t picture it from the outside of the hotel, so when you walk in, it takes you by pleasant surprise. The piano room was a fantastic room and had everything we needed to have a most comfortable stay. The comfy king size bed helped me have a great night’s sleep. And when we woke up, everything we needed for morning coffee was there and ready for us. I enjoyed being able to drink it on the front porch as I watched the town slowly coming to life. The shower was amazing and the shower heads were better than any hotel I’ve ever been in. It’s a brilliantly designed room and we are so pleased with our stay. Mike was very friendly and helpful in walking us through the steps of our stay. I highly recommend at least a night here if you’re ever going to be staying in the area.

This is a very quaint and historic building. We stayed in the Stanton Room which was very spacious. The bathroom towels were soft and the toilet tissue was Charmin's best, not the type that dissolves in your nether parts. You will need to understand that the floors and stairs leading up to the room are the original wooden floors of a structure built in 1884, so squeaking comes with the package. If you love places with lots of character then this is for you! Mike is an exceptional host who is very responsive and lets guests check in early if the room is ready. The location is right across the street from the park and a short three minute walk into the town square. You won't be disappointed if you stay here!
