Pei Wei Asian Express — Restaurant in Dale City

I recently visited Pei Wei Asian Kitchen food stand at Potomac Mall in Woodbridge and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Firstly, the lady at the counter was very pushy and insisted that I get noodles or rice even though I specifically asked for just chicken and vegetables due to my dietary restrictions. I gave in and ordered noodles with the chicken and vegetables, thinking I could bring it home for my husband. However, when I received my order, I was extremely disappointed with the small amount of chicken and vegetables that were drowned out by an overwhelming amount of noodles. The vegetables were white and showed signs of being frozen and not even steamed properly. This was not what was advertised on the picture above the counter.

When I expressed my disappointment to the assistant manager, he didn't seem to care and simply said that it was the portion that was being served. When I mentioned that the picture above the counter was misleading, he didn't have a proper response and instead suggested that I go to another food stand if I wasn't happy with the portion. This kind of response was unacceptable and showed a lack of responsibility on their part.

Overall, I would not recommend Pei Wei Asian food stand due to their pushy sales tactics, misleading advertising, and poor quality of food. There are many other food stands in the mall that offer better quality and...

Absolutely shady business practices. The first time I came here I asked for two items only. I got rice, vegetables, and chicken. They kept saying one more one more and were very pushy, so I was confused thinking the vegetables didnt count. When I got to the register they charged me for a 3 item tray. I figured I had misunderstood so I paid.

Today I came and I was very clear I only want two items, and asked for chicken, rice, and vegetables. They again were kind of pushy about trying to get me to choose another item. I still said no. As I was moving down the next serversaw I had only chicken, pointed at the item I got, and I said yes thats it, and she added extra. I thought maybe it was because I wasn't picking a third item she was giving me more. When I got to the register they were like 3 items because you got extra. Absolutely not! I walked away and ate some where else. I will never be back. I am willing to pay for what I want, but not be tricked into buying more than what...

The "manager" at the Woodbridge Location was rude and for some reason in such a big hurry that customer service was even further from his mind than good manners. I asked him his name and he said "I don't know". He had a colleague standing next to him and I asked him and he said he did know. I asked him if he knew his own name and he said "not really". We were going to order another meal to bring home for our son but with this kind of service decided to walk away. Today is June 28/ 2023 and we were at the Woodbridge location about 7:30 pm. The phone number on the receipt does not allow for a message to be left. I hope the owner reads this review and stops disgracing the name...
