Went to Alice yesterday with a few coworkers. They only do Valet parking but if you had to self park you can go down a block into the residence and find street parking. Place is small but atmosphere has a 80's decor. The name is supposed to tie back to Alice in wonderland but nothing else suggests that. Now let's get into. The food portions are like tapas style so if you think you are going to get full off a order of anything think again. We ordered the wings, ribs, 2xshrimp, sticky buns, 3 orders of salmon fried rice and one dish that slips mind.
Out of everything, only thing I would recommend is the shrimp and that saying much considering the size was like popcorn shrimp but good. My coworkers like the ribs. When the salmon fried rice came out, we was like" Where is the rest?" But we proceeded to eat it. Again this is not a regular Thai or Japanese style restaurant where the portions may give room to take something home so don't expect that. I first suggested that the salmon rice was overly salty and my two other coworkers agreed. I tried to fight through it for the team sake but I couldn't and then notified the waitress who informed me "because the dish looks like it's been eaten I could not return it." ..đ"I was like oh ok" and proceeded with the night. My coworkers felt that wasn't fair and followed back up with the waitress and notified her that their food was too salty was willing to return their dishes as well so that I could get something else and wanted to talk to the manager. Maybe she thought I wanted to get full enough to return it and get something else even though I was done with the whole experience after she said I couldn't return the dish. The manager said I could exchange the dish and I went with the Pad Thai. The waitress notified in advance that the dish was more vegetable base and then noodle base..đ and I said that's fine. It came out and that missed the mark too. I'm very to easy please and I'm not prissy at all but you can't really mess up those dishes but they found a way to. I saw in the kitchen they had a bottle of sweet Thai chili sauce I use at home and I asked for a side of that. I poured the whole bowl of that on the Pad Thai and that helped.
For everything we spent about $250(that's with tip) which I thought wasn't bad actually. We all wanted some dessert but when the waitress asked if we wanted any we said no and went somewhere else. Overall I'm not knocking the place. The atmosphere was cool, but the food just wasn't my thing. Would I go there again?... Most likely not, maybe for drinks but...
Read moreWhere do I begin! Our visit on January 5, 2022, was absolutely magnificent!! It was my birthday dinner. We were greeted by our friendly server, Trish, who walked us to the dining area where we were seated. The room also has a big screen tv and the GS and Mavâs were playing. đ you can also do karaoke đ¤ with the big screen and the micâs are provided.
My daughterâs had bought me a bouquet đ of beautiful flowers. They were laying on the dinner table, and Trish offered not only to get water for them, but there just happened to be a vase in our dining area, and she asked permission to cut the stems and place the flowers in water. But wait, she doesnât stop there. Trish went to check with a manager if I could have the vase for the flowers! How great was that!đ
The other server, Keithe, was on the job boy! She made sure she took everyoneâs orders correctly and kept checking on my family for any needs they had.
The food was SO good and nothing was cold that should not have been. They did not mind our singing and laughing during karaoke. It was a really great time!!
Upon leaving both servers told me âHappy Birthdayâ again and I hugged and thanked each one for making it a memorable occasion. They invited us back and without hesitation, we replied we would.
I give them a 5 star âď¸ rating, and would go higher if it were permitted. They were absolutely wonderful!! My apologies ladies if I misspelled your names, but nothing either of you did was wrong. Thank you again to the...
Read moreAn underwhelming dinning experience and quite honestly no desire to return. Although the our waitress (autumn ) was great , the timing of food to table from kitchen was ridiculous - specially since they are small bites. This place is not equip to handle big groups as we came in for a bday dinner on a Tuesday night at 730 as a group of 10-
The food- specifically the AYCE dim sum has about 9 small plates in the menu for about $40 pp. We thought weâd get to try different things from menu - however in the 2+ hours we were there they we unable to bring us what we ordered. Instead we could get the same item over and over with 20+ mins in between and the quality getting worse and worse every time. The âcrispy riceâ was so hard it was like biting into a hockey puck, the spring rolls were burnt , the dumplings were undercooked and hard on the ridges. The pork ribs took over an hour to come out , the shrimp& pork dumplings never saw our tables but were âchecked onâ for over 2 hours.
About the 2 hour mark we realized we werenât going to get the experience we had paid for and asked to speak to a manager - it took more than 2 request and over 30 mins for him to address us.
Although he was defensive at first he corrected the night by taking care of our meal- but I would be doing a disservice by not sharing our experience - donât fall for the tik tok tricks this place is not it. Itâs over priced with underwhelming food.
