So much to say about this place considering we did not stay to eat. To begin, we had a table reservation for the Colombia VS Argentina Copa América final. When we arrived for our table, we were made to wait outside because the restaurant had over committed their space. We were made to wait outside for about 35minutes in the scorching heat. When we finally get in, our waitress seemed overwhelmed and frustrated - which was understandable, as she had a number of large groups and tables. While I understood she was overwhelmed, we had asked for a menu 5 times overall waiting 50mins - literally 50mins for a copy of the menu. The menu, which was brought by another staff member, seemed concise and small which was perfect for event - but when asked how long for food to be brought out, we were informed it would take roughly about 45/50min for the food. After waiting a few moments the signal of the game froze, so now we had waited well over an hour for a menu, the staff seemed underwhelmed, and the game was not being displayed so we decided to leave and watch the game from the living room. On a positive side, the physical ambiance and environment of Bocado was trendy and well lit, but that’s about it. Would I recommend for a large event; negative. Would I try for a casual brunch or dinner - perhaps. As far as what dishes to try, we did not get to try any of the food but the street tacos looked really good - would have been nice to try some items as we had a member who...
Read moreSuch a great place to come and have a good time with great food. From having complementary valet parking, such friendly staff and knowledgeable of the menu and drinks, clean establishment, delicious food. (Which I had brunch and birthday dinner there) everyone there are very attentive and take pride in their job. Which makes it one of my favorite places to go and also a place where I am always get treated so well. Also it has turn into one of my favorite places in that area. Staff overall is incredible. I had my birthday dinner there and service was amazing and highly recommended the drink called APASIONADA. One of my favorites there. Because after dinner it turns into a club name Alcatraz and after diner is always fun to stay and have a good time with your friends. From the restaurant manager Jorge, manager of Alcatraz Salvador, servers/bottle service girls Manuela and Estefania. These are few names that I have learned throughout the times that I had been in the business and they always take good care of my friends and I. From dinners to party time. This is a place that I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a good dinner and a fun time after. They also have Mariachis or live band here and there which makes the environment more fun. Overall is a great place to be with friends or family and have a good time.
Thank you for such great customer service and keep such...
Read moreHonestly, we were regulars here. I will say the service from waiters was always super wonderful. However they have the worst management team possible. The food is valued at a high price point, which I am a foodie-I’ll pay for a great food plate any day. That isn’t the issue, what’s the issue is if you price point your food at the highest then that means your team should also be valued at a high level. The expertise they have is little to NONE. My last experience was the straw for this restaurant. Being told no” that we could not access the patio area when it was open and their was space to accommodate-and in a rude manner by the old security guard who was promoted to the management team was beyond ME. He was not only rude but felt of “top class”. Are we not evaluating people skill sets anymore when hiring front-face employees? Let alone for management?? He definitely lacks of training and empathy for customers. Please re-evaluate your team. The receptionist however was always very pleasant. I do fear for Bocado once she leaves, that’s about the only great thing you all have to offer. Unfortunately, this current management team will be the ruin of...
