Masterpiece Suite: $1200+ for a couple of nights.
We've been to a lot of nice hotels and stayed in many suites. This was the most technology advanced suite, but unfortunately this was my least favorite because of all the inconveniences during our stay.
Staff was friendly and helpful during every interaction, no complaints there!
We were checked in and sent to the 3rd floor. The hallway was under renovation due to apparant water damage. The carpet had been removed, so we had to walk down the hall through sticky glue which was coated on the entire floor. There was a dehumidifier fan in the hallway and it was pretty loud.
We made it to our room and we quickly realized this was not the suite we booked, as it was much smaller and only had one bathroom. We contacted the front desk and they brought us new keys so we could move to the correct suite.
The elevators were full of confused people trying to get to their floor. Only one family per elevator is allowed at a time, so we waited patiently while the same couples kept going up and down (the elevator was skipping their floor.) This happened to us 3 times as well. I believe it was a key-reader issue inside the elevator as it was very delayed and took a few tries to get it to read the key. After we learned the trick to get it to work, the elevator trips were no longer an issue.
The 2nd floor hallway had all it's carpet, but there was a weird smell in the hallway that I couldn't figure out. It was a strong chemical-type smell that was present during our entire stay. Many hotels use pleasant scents throughout the building, but not here.
Our suite was clean and modern. Lots of towels, plenty of water bottles, a glass dining table, comfortable furniture, huge TVs and an espresso machine. The amount of space in every room was amazing, even in the bathrooms. We were thrilled!
After we got settled in, we started realizing all the small details and just how much was actually missing -
Shower water was only warm, which was highly disappointing as the bathroom was amazing. This is probably a simple fix if they adjust the safety temperature disc located behind the shower handle, but it requires an allen wrench to remove, so not anything I could do myself without tools. The other fix might be an adjustment to the hot water heater to raise the temperature. This may be their way of keeping costs lower, but a hot shower is necessary!
There's no microwave in the room, yet there's a huge wet bar and dining area. We had to bring our leftovers home with us instead of being able to warm it up and eat it the next day. This resulted in spending money on more food and then having to pack all the extra food boxes in our luggage.
The mini fridge was only stocked with water. No snacks or other drink options. I've only seen this in

The number one thing i pay attention to is customer service, & the customer service here puts Chick-fil-a to shame you hear me!! Upon arrival even though I had a private car service even the valet team was extremely welcoming and not once did I have to open a door or touch my luggage.
When entering the hotel I was greeted with wine! so of course we are already starting off right lol. The check in team really went above and beyond and made me feel so welcome! I hadn't even given the lady my ID and Credit card yet and it was as if they knew me already because they addressed me by name and stated they gave me a complimentary upgrade. Mind you, I already had a suite reserved so to be upgraded to the Contemporary suite was just amazing! I have to shout out this gentlemen who I feel really made sure I felt welcome! I hope I get his name right but Mr. Devine or Divine! his customer service his personality and his professionalism really represented the overall brand of the hotel for me! He made sure I felt safe and comfortable since i was traveling solo.
The staff really make sure you do not want for anything! I would suggest bringing decent amount of tip money because it is hard to not want to bless each person you encounter here. They don't even allow you to get your own ice so i did find myself calling down a few times for ice refills. The entire hotel is artistic so it makes you feel that you are at an art gallery even in your room. They really pay attention to detail! I appreciated the makeup wipes and makeup towel for ladies in the vanity! The bathrooms are stunning and the soaking tub alone was heaven sent! it faced the room and the tv rotates so it was nice having a bubble bath while watching tv and sipping a cocktail! The bed! was soooo comfortable and soft! being that I am a early riser no matter where in the world i am, waking up at 10am on this trip was late for me and i loved every minute of it!
The location is great and there are great things surrounding the hotel but I DID NOT LEAVE! lol I ate the entire time at the Ellies restaurant and I am a sucker for live music so I love that no matter what time I came to the restaurant or bar they have a new artist performing! My breakfast omelet was just ok but the mimosa was great and my dinner was out of this world i got the rotisserie chicken dinner and every bite just melts in your mouth. The waitstaff at the restaurant were absolutely amazing! side note: ORDER THE LEMON DROPS and keep them coming :)
I love how the staff overall at this hotel just pays attention. Whenever i went to dinner i would come back to my room to see they always left me a sweet note and chocolates on my pillow.
In conclusion, I know I have seen many say it's pricey and sure it can be however I don't put a price on comfort and convenience. The customer service along with the room makes it worth every damn penny! I can't thank the team enough for such a great experience! I came for a self-care trip, to clear my mind and reset and game back with my heart smiling! I have been back a week now, and my team keeps telling me that I'm glowing! I owe all that to the experience here at the HALL ARTS if you are thinking twice...DON'T run do not walk to go book this hotel!!
Thanks again team and i will be back VERY...
Read moreLet me start off by being fair to a very Beautiful hotel. I stay at a ton of hotels, mainly Hilton brands and when on the road Best Western Plus. My son's and I were on a NBA Basket Ball shopping road trip from Florida to end in Salt Lake City. On a road trip, the points in between are not always available to make a reservation. So as a Honors member I look for hotels that I get points and have had a good experiences with the hotels in that group. Since we were in Dallas I thought i would treat my son's to a 5 start hotel stay. on July 7th to the 8th. I have stayed in 5 star hotels in Japan, Philippines, and all across the country. The Intercontinental in the Philippines was my favorite, a true 5 Star including personal security. What they don't tell you is this Hotel in the middle of one of the highest crime filled locations around. I guess that is why they don't tell you, that you must use the vali parking, which means a tip every time you need the car or bring it back. You can't even go to your car and get something without calling you car up. The hotel is a great place for someone who has everything done for them and doesn't care about freedom. The room was a beautiful white, All White!! I felt like i was in a padded cell. To get ice for a drink you had to have it delivered, which is another tip, just for ice. They tell you that you can walk to good restaurants close by in the Art district, but I would not advise it unless you have concealed weapon license good for the whole united states, which I do. Everything around this beautiful building is in a Crack Den, Dallas P,D, are everywhere. I wanted to find a bank to get to an ATM for cash on hand for all the tips needed and was accosted by drug dealers and who knows what else. We finally ate dinner way outside of downtown, and there are some great places to eat and see the real Dallas. The price they show is great for a 5 star hotel with a wonderful view. But please be prepared to be a prisoner in your own room and bring everything you want to drink or eat while lounging in your prison cell, or you can tip someone to run and get it. The hotel was only over 200.00 a night but by the time you include tips, water bottles and the high security level need to protect you it will run you almost 500.00 for the night, since they also charge a feel to keep you car in the protected parking, which only valis can enter. If you want a great stay and freedom with safety, stay out of ANY HOTEL in downtown, and I have lived in L.A. and Southern Florida for over 40 years and felt safer with freedom to move around. The staff are very helpful and polite, but if they do something be prepared to hand cash over to tip. Also, you can't just walk in and make a reservation you have to do it online. I had to go back to my car and make the reservation online from my phone and then they would help me. I guess I just like to control my own environment and have the freedom to come and go as I please without tipping everyone. They don't tell you this in the information on their website where you are required to to make the reservation, and don't forget to keep you key card at all times or you won't be able to get in the building or on the elevator, much less get into your room. Other than that, great view and...
