Nice vibe when you walk in, based on the outside looks of the restaurant. Drinks menu is interesting with a nice ring to the names. As for the food, most items in the menu were unavailable. We ordered the 10 piece wings, red beans and rice (was advised after a long wait the item wasnât available) and the alligator balls (I think thatâs the name waited so long almost forgot want I ordered). As I sat and enjoyed my drink I noticed patrons coming in after me and their food was being delivered to the table. I asked the young lady twice how long would it take for us to receive our food and she advise that she was checking on it. Still waiting asked again do you normally have to wait and hour for food. She advised she would check on it. I finally made the decision to request my money back and leave. Approach by a young man with high energy at the bar whom advised me that I would get the refund back along with the food. I told him it was up to the person that was with me. He seem ask if I wasnât answering fast enough for him( like the same speed our food was delivered) and made the decision just to give us our refund. A nice young lady advised that the manager will give us or refund plus our food. We have been waiting close to an hour and a half and still 10 minutes before the food is ready. Iâm still waiting after writing this review, never again Thank you for wasting my time and my day. Oh my boyfriend just walked out.
Continued- For the time that we waited there should not have been any errors with our food. Flavors were there for the Gumbo (wouldâve preferred the beans and rice I ordered but was advised after an hour item wasnât available), and the wings were over seasoned. Alligator balls were okay. If there was more staff available this would be a great location to go too. Just a review for improvement, donât want to take anything away from the establishment. If you have the TIME then go and enjoy the atmosphere. Oh and the daiquiri...

Crawfish Meat Pies
The Meal: These were cooked to perfection, but had no distinctive taste at all. It was hard to tell if they were store bought or homemade. Visually seeing the ingredients and not tasting much was a disappointment. I do understand not wanting to over salt though, itâs easy to do so with any type of seafood. Regardless of quality, that doesnât take away from the fact that it was really fresh. The crust was definitely fried lightly with the perfect golden brown.
The Service:
There wasnât much hospitality, and that couldâve been due to the employees being overworked or just burnt out from the day. Based off their face expressions, it was clear the lack of service was from simply being tired. I didnât expect great service ordering my food or receiving it from the waitress. I understand the place being hectic and the side effects it takes on the business as a whole. However, a welcoming attitude goes a long way, that determines how well the business really thrives.
The Atmosphere:
It appears to be a good place to go sit and enjoy a game or just chill and kick it.
Final Grade: (D -)
The company needs to regroup and revisit customer approach as a whole. The low but still passing grade is simply because the atmosphere itself was an enjoyable vibe. Also, the pies were fried and drained in good timing. There was a lack of flavor, so I wouldnât go to eat. However, itâs a decent place for game days or just wanting to be in a controlled but good...
Read moreFound this spot by sheer luck. I was in search of The Taco Kitchen restaurant that use to be located in Addison, TX. but now it's a Ghost Shop or something like that on Commerce St. downtown Dallas. They now allow you to order from Fifty different restaurants in the very small Take out space that theyâre renting from. Iâm thinking that this pertains to newly opened restaurants that werenât doing as well as the owners would have expected. You would think that The Taco Kitchen would advertise on Yelp or Google that theyâd movedâŚmaybe they didnât have enough time to introduce pertinent information to customers that were looking to finally taste their complimentary Margaritas (the machine down the first time I visited them a year ago). Even though I didnât have my taco Tuesday or Margaritas. Iâm really glad I was in this area because finding Southern Classic Daiquiri was like finding a Diamond in the ruff. Itâs a very spacious place, thereâs also outside patio seating as well.
I can't lie, the wings that I ordered were succulent, hot, and freshly cooked with L O V E. I didn't know that the fries had such heavy seasonings I'll definitely make sure I never get the extra layers of seasoning again. My frozen daiquiri was the best...it stayed frozen all the way till I got to my destination. I'll definitely return with my Boo Thang so he can taste the food and flavorful frozen daiquiris. Everyone was so nice and politeâŚgotta recognize and shout out Black Owned establishments...
