The ambiance of a coffee shop is crucial in shaping the overall experience. The design, the decor, and the layout all contribute to the unique atmosphere that draws us in. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am a coffee lover and I have been a Houndstooth customer for many years. When I lived in East Dallas, I regularly went to their Henderson location. After moving to West Dallas, I became a regular at this Sylvan ave location. If you're used to starbucks or McDonalds coffee you may not like the style of coffee here. If you like a lighter roast brewed in more of a European style the espresso drinks here are truly excellent. Arguably world-class. I've been to Milan and to Seattle, and the espresso drinks prepared at Houndstooth rival the espresso I have been served in those coffee hubs.
I also buy whole beans for my small business from here. I run them through a burr grinder with a drip coffee machine and I regularly get compliments from clients and other guests about the quality of my office coffee. If I could give this six stars I would. ~Amos
P.S. I love that they took COVID seriously. These other reviewers giving them one star for enforcing mask wearing and keeping their employees safe are being ridiculous. It's a global...

Mines just looked like a regular latte heart, which was still pretty to look at. Cup is a bit smaller and price was a tad higher than most other coffee shops I've been to. However, the barista made the drink super fast and he was friendly. It tasted pretty sweet - almost like chocolate milk with a hint of coffee and strawberry. The drink had a nice creaminess to it, although I wished the coffee flavor was slightly more present.
While the inside is very vibey and aesthetic for studying/working, note that there is a lack of outlets. I spotted 2 (one in the front patio and one in the back). Otherwise, they have...
