Meh, not worth the High price point for mediocre food and service. Walked in, walked around to Each and every station... not one person acknowledged me... walked up and sat at the bar like table... server came over, I asked for a menu and to order... she said I had to get up and walk to the register (Ps. There was Nobody at Either register)... God forbid they couldn't have taken my gnocchi order. Walked all the way around, to the bar register, ordered, and asked permission to sit back down... I was informed my to go food would be delivered to the bar cash register, to where I have to pick it up personally... wow. A lady came on her shift, brought me a water automatically, said hi... and walked away. Best service of the entire visit. As a sat at the bar table, a couple sat down next to me... the guy who told me to get up and order at the counter, quickly brought them waters, introduced himself, asked if they had questions on the menu or wine... gave them wine samples, took their order... I sat and watched, tried to raise my hand for a refill of water... ignored.
Food finally came out, i heard the food runner say it had been sitting back there ready for a while... yay... it was put in a small bag so I would have to carry it, I asked for a bigger bag so I could use the Handles of the bag... you know, what it's intended for... I was told nope... but you can can walk over to the other register and ask them... I did, and quickly left.
Ps, gnocchi ($18 for SIDE DISH size, of over cooked, broken sauce, no gorgonzala at all) Your paying $18 for blobs of potatoes in cream, with a table spoon of almonds.. restaurant cost... $1.80...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at my new favorite spot in town, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for a treat.
Let's start with the wine selection - it was simply amazing! The restaurant boasted an impressive variety of wines, and the sommelier's, Logan, recommendations were spot-on. Each glass perfectly complemented the flavors of our meal, elevating the dining experience to new heights.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the steak! I didn’t know Italy was famous for steak! It's safe to say that I've never tasted a steak as succulent and flavorful as the one I had here. Cooked to perfection, each bite was a delightful explosion of savory goodness. The chef's skill and attention to detail truly shone through in every mouthwatering morsel. And the price was very affordable!
Yet, what truly sets this restaurant apart is its exceptional staff. Logan and Marcus deserve special mention for their impeccable customer service. From the moment we walked in, they greeted us with warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm. Throughout the evening, they went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. Their knowledge of the menu and wine pairings was impressive, and they were more than happy to accommodate any special requests we had.
Not only were they professional, but it was evident that they loved what they do. Their passion for their work was contagious, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal. Their attentive yet unintrusive service allowed us to savor each moment without feeling rushed. I will be back...
Read moreI ordered from Cibo Divino through Caviar. I can recommend going to Cibo Divino. If they refuse to make the sandwich you want (which happened to me), or if your pizza comes without the ingredients you ordered (which also happened to me), you can deal with them directly. If you order for takeout, you're at the mercy of the great god Murphy. We ordered Eggplant Parmesan tonight. What arrived was inedible. It was not eggplant parmesan. It was only eggplant. Unroasted, uncoated, unsalted, slimy, bitter eggplant with a small spoonful of sauce on the very top and a tiny bit of cheese. It was absolutely inedible. Life is too short to eat dreck like this. So I called Cibo Divino. It was freshly made today, they said. They'd check it out they said. There was nothing they could do, they said. Contact Caviar. So I contacted Caviar. and I got no reply at all. None. Zip. Zilch. Nothin'. I'm out $50 for inedible trash that cost the restaurant 50 cents to buy.
If Cibo Divino is going to make it, they need to step up their game. They are a rarity in Dallas - a place to get a decent dish of pasta at a reasonable price. But they make a lot of mistakes, and their cooks are not well trained. I have to wait, sometimes a long time, to get noticed whenever I go there, and I'm fairly regular. I may be greeted when I walk in, but the staff disappears, or gets so busy flirting with the one other customer they will leave me waiting at the cash register for 10 minutes or more. (that happened last week.) I really want to like Cibo Divino. Right...
