Took my hubby there for his birthday dinner. We had a great night! Things we ordered. Soft shell tempura - something many places struggle with but not here. Lightly battered. Not oily. Shocked at the great portion size for such a low price. Hubby and I split two orders. Gyoza - melts in your mouth. Great for sharing. Great dipping sauce for this and soft shell crap was wonderful. Hamachi, hirame, matsunosuke, kamasu and two other Nigiri I forgot the names off. Fish is fresh. Smooth. Great combinations of flavor and textures. The cuts are perfect. We got two of each. We had the cheesecake a few days before. It's was a green tea cheesecake. Perfectly balanced. Not bitter or too sweet. We had the Mochi tonight. Strawberry and green tea. The exterior texture was plush velvet and soft and the interior was cool and creamy. New favorite. Drinks - water and sake. There this sake drip(?) They have which is pretty stellar. I drank more than usual, no real buzz until I got home. If they offer it, go for it. Totally worth it. Atmosphere - lots of natural light from large windows. As the evening went on, the room became dim. Loved that. Soft music played low in background. Our waiters were helpful and really knew the food. Will 100% be back for date nights and to bring friends.

I visited a newly opened Japanese restaurant called “Sugoi Sushi”for lunch today, and it was a wonderful experience! Since I only had an hour, I tried their lunch specials, which included two options: sushi and fried rice. We ordered both, and everything was delicious. The tempura shrimp appetizer was incredibly fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. The restaurant itself was clean, modern, and elegant, and the service was warm and attentive. For the main courses, we had a six-piece nigiri sushi selection and a beef fried rice. The ingredients were top-notch, and the beef was incredibly tender and fresh. For dessert, we tried a matcha mochi ice cream and a mochi cheesecake, both of which were absolutely delightful. The meal also came with a unique broth that reminded me of Vietnamese pho, adding a lovely depth of flavor. We also enjoyed a cup of their coffee, which was rich and aromatic, and didn’t need any cream or sugar. Overall, this restaurant’s lunch special was a fantastic experience. Great value, outstanding service, and a comfortable, clean ambiance make it highly recommendable. I’m definitely looking forward to trying their other set meals!

This is a new sushi location. Had the opportunity to try them out during their soft opening. They’re still working on the overall atmosphere and building their branding throughout, but it’s clean and modern with a large and spacious sushi’s bar. The chef is passionate and very nice. There is love for the craft of sushi making with a nod to a couple Vietnamese classics done well. The house aged fish was excellent and hot foods were good. I can see them growing and developing their menu more and more. Definitely a gem stone being polished. Good place for a date or social event. They’re building out a VIP/private party space upstairs, so this will be a go-to place for small gatherings and personal omakase experience. Please meet the owner and chef. They’re fun and open to feedback. Staff is attentive but keep in mind that it’s still soft opening so they’re still building their staff.

We had a reservation for 8 at the sushi bar. The restaurant was barely half full. Everything was slow, took several minutes to be greeted and seated. Took 5-8 mins before a server came up and gave us waters. We placed an order for two rolls immediately. We waited 30 minutes and eventually just had to leave without getting food it was taking so long. After we ordered we never got checked on again, never given a drink menu or asked about drinks besides waters.

There was a giant stack of tickets still sitting with the sushi chefs and no signs of ours being started soon. We counted 25 other people in there, no reason it should have been taking this long with no to go ordering available either.

It was clear several other tables were waiting a very long time for food and the few people that had eaten already were waiting a very long time to get checks and pay.

Very bummed, the pictures from other reviews look good and we were excited to try a new local place but it’s going to be hard to come back to give it...
