I recently had the misfortune of dealing with this post office while trying to get fingerprints done for an FBI background check. The USPS offers this service in conjunction with the FBI at select few post offices, and the email you receive from USPS instructs you to visit during passport hours. Sounds simple, right? Not at all.
First of all, the larger post offices that offer this service don't have passport appointments available for over a month, so you're forced to rely on their "walk-in" hours. At this location, that's Tuesday-Thursday from 8:30am to 9:30am. However, they only take the first seven walk-ins. I arrived at 7:30am, hearing that the spots fill up within minutes of the post office opening at 8am. I did everything possible to ensure I was in the right place at the right time, only to be told after standing in line that fingerprints are taken at a completely different time — 9:30am.
Here's where it gets worse: I called this location over a dozen times the day before to confirm the details in the email (as that's what the email suggested), and no one ever answered the phone. Not once! I then resorted to calling the USPS customer service line, which had a 43-minute wait time, just to make sure the information I had was correct. Which the agent confirmed. I went through all of that just to show up and be told conflicting information by the staff.
There is absolutely no reason for this level of disorganization and chaos. What’s the point of sending an email with instructions if the details are wrong? Why have a local phone number if no one ever picks up? Why make customers spend hours preparing and ensuring a smooth process, only to waste half their morning because the post office can’t get its act together? It’s frustrating and unprofessional. USPS needs to get its operations in order because the current state of affairs...
Read moreI went today to take a letter for routine delivery. I then asked the same employee who attended me if she could give me a bunch of domestic return receipts and certified mail receipts. She said “Huuuhhhh I don’t get what you’re saying” with an attitude. I responded “can you give me some of those green things on your right hand side?” She was about to only give me one and I told her yet again that I needed a whole bunch because they’re for a business. She made a bothered face and told me with attitude that there was some everywhere that I could grab. I then, again, explained this was for a business so I needed a lot. She rolled her eyes and said “there’s some EVERYWHERE.” So I told her “okay I’ll get some from EVERYWHERE then.” I went to the entrance and took the forms I needed when another employee walked out of the back and told me I should’ve said I needed a lot because now she’s gonna have to go back and restock and it’s such a hassle. I told her that I had told the employee behind the stand that I needed a lot because it was for a business but she refused to give me any because there was some “everywhere” so that’s what i was doing. She then mumbled something and made a hand gesture which basically meant “get out of here”. I’ve never experienced such unprofessionalism at a UNITED STATES POST OFFICE. I’m really disappointed with the way I was treated, as if I was some sort of nuisance to them. I’ll be filing a formal complaint regarding...
Read moreDo your self a favor and skip this post office. I over and over have rude encounters with the women there.
I went in there to return something with a QR code, before I even walked up the lady rolled her eyes at me. Then the lady couldn’t get it to scan and kept cutting me off to tell me it didn’t work and I what I was showing her was instructions? I tried to read her the line where it told me to show this specific QR code to her and she cut me off and told me to go to another employee.
The next employee was able to scan at the first scan and the other employee yelled down to her that I changed the QR code I showed her to which I yelled back down that I did not. Which apparently made her angry to which she accused me of lying. Not a logical thinking person maybe thinking she did something incorrect, but calls me a liar instead.
Then as the lady was helping me she said I needed to have the bag taped to where this lady rudely yelled down again that I needed to buy a role of tape although there was tape sitting right in front of the lady. She refused to help me.
I actually have never been so disrespected in a business before for merely needing help.
This place is full of miserable people who do not want to help and make you feel a burden. This is the second horrible experience I’ve been through and I will...
