Very disappointed. We first had Blacktap in LV 2 years ago when I say the food and service was AMAZING we are there 3x on our 6 day trip in Vegas. We were so excited that Finally Blacktap was in Dallas but the food and service was subpar. First, we got our drinks and the strawberry lemonade had so much syrup in it we exchanged for regular cokes. After waiting so long to finally eat the wings BBQ wings were overly sauces we ordered well done burgers that were more medium well and our friends ordered medium well and it was literally raw. The only thing cooked in our friends burgers was the out side layer. The inside looked like raw ground beef from the grocery store.
Now the waiter RayG is how she pronounced it but I'm not sure how to spell her name. She was a black woman with a black heart in-between her eyebrows and was annoying from the beginning. Dancing to every song around our food and couldn't keep focus. After our friends send their raw burgers back it was like she forgot about it. We had to waiver her down and she had the nerves to ask how's everything going and would y'all like to order more. My friend had been stilling there for 20 minutes with no food so I jumped in and said did you forget that they are stilling here with no food and it's been more than 20 mins. She goes to check on it and sure enough the burger had been sitting under the heating lamp waiting for her while she was at the front chatting with her coworkers. So once we got our checks my husband tipped her and she had the audacity to ask “Why did you only tip me $$ was there something wrong with my service” she’s lucky I didn’t hear her because I would would have went off but my friends did. My husband simply replied no issues this is the tip I tipped you. I thought that was the most tackiest question anyone could have asked especially knowing that the service was not good at all and not know what I financially situation may have been. She should be thankful that she got a tip and kept it moving.
So with that being said as excited as we were to have Blacktap in Dallas we won’t be back at all and RayG needs...
Read moreCame here for a birthday celebration because everyone was raving about it online & we saw they had 4.5⭐️ so we made reservations. We arrived & the place is beautiful inside & out. Our waiter Nick was a sweetheart, thank you for your kindness. We order & our food comes out… It’s luke warm 🚩#1, The corn tortilla nachos we added beef for $4 & it was less than an oz of beef 🚩#2, The Texas bbq fries we had 2 orders of & added mushrooms to one for $2. The fries tasted frozen & the tops/ingredients tasted canned & unseasoned… for $13-15? 🚩 #3, our waiter asked what was wrong & we explained it wasn’t to our liking & just wanted the bill for our drink(s). While we’re waiting for the bill a guy comes out & approaches our table, first thing he says “So I hear you were having issues with your food” we all look at him confused as to who he was because no introduction was made 🚩 #4, we tried explaining that the food just wasn’t to our standard & he immediately got extremely defensive & argumentative 🚩 #5, we asked for the bill again & what we assume was the manager wanted to continue being argumentative asking why we didn’t like the food & telling us we were the only ones that’s felt that way. He’s not changing his portion or prices, which no one even mentioned wanting those accommodations 🚩 #6, we asked if he could just get the waiter so we could go because he wanted to continue to fuss & we just wanted to leave. Gabriel The manager, who I was later informed his name was did nothing to fix our 1st time experience while celebrating a birthday. Yet he made it 100x worse, complete nightmare 🚩 #7, The waiter comes back & tells us our total, we paid cash & we never received a receipt 🚩 #8, we sat there for 30mins & no one came back. I got up to go look for the waiter &/or manager & I was informed that they both left 🚩 #9 , I spent another 30mins waiting for a manager in order to get my receipt. Finally a manger (Gabby) who was also a sweetheart gave was our receipt & we left...
Read moreDuring my visit to downtown Dallas, I found myself across the street from the American Airlines Center, where Black Tap stood, beckoning with its enticing allure. The bustling atmosphere and the aroma of delicious cuisine filled the air, creating an irresistible temptation. As I stepped inside, I was greeted by a world of flavors and hospitality. The experience was nothing short of delightful, as I savored exquisite dishes in the heart of the city. Looking back, it was a memorable culinary adventure that I’ll always cherish.
Food Review:
The cauliflower burger I tried at the Black Tap was a delightful surprise. The patty was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bursting with flavor. Paired with fresh lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and a delicious sauce, it created a satisfying and hearty burger experience.
The fries were golden and crispy, just the way I like them, and served hot. They were well-seasoned and addictive, making for a great side dish.
The guacamole with chips was a refreshing addition to the meal. The guacamole was creamy and flavorful, and the chips were crispy and perfectly salted. The combination of the creamy guacamole and crunchy chips provided a tasty contrast in textures.
Overall, the cauliflower burger, fries, and guacamole with chips made for a fantastic and satisfying meal. The creativity in incorporating cauliflower into the burger was commendable, and the quality and taste of the entire meal were impressive.
My Overall Meal was a 10/10. Overall Experience 10/10. My recommendations is to Hit the Road and GOOOO. Tell em Multiiee sent you if you decide go!!
