Had a very bad experience here yesterday. Upon arrival we were told that the wait for a table was minimum 1 hr and it could go up, however, there was open seating in a certain area of the venue while we wait. So we proceeded to that area after getting a drink at the bar. The place was packed with standing room only, so when we saw some seats open up, we tried to sit down. A waitress came by and said “You can’t sit here, I’m seating people here.” And walked off really quickly. We were confused and just wanted to make sure we were in the right area and we were hoping she could point us in the right direction. She walked past us 3 times pointedly ignoring us asking her clarifying questions. So on the third time, my sister (who was thinking maybe it was just too loud in the restaurant) reached out and touched the waitress’s shoulder “Excuse me ma’am I just wanted to ask if…” the waitress cuts her off mid sentence and snaps “I heard you, DONT TOUCH ME!” We were all wide-eyed and stunned. The whole time, the waitress knew it was open seating but she was trying to hold the seats for some friends. In the meantime some random people came over and sat in the seats anyway. Because it’s open seating!!! But because the waitress knew she wasn’t supposed to stop us from sitting like she did, she was ignoring our questions purposefully and then made a HUGE deal out of my sis touching her shoulder as she walked by. It was wild. 😳 None of us knew what to say. And she lost the seats anyway because she knew she couldn’t tell a second group they couldn’t sit. I will say that the manager came over and spoke to us because another member of the staff saw the whole thing and told him about it. He immediately sat us at a table on the opposite end of the venue where there was supposed to be an hour wait. Lol But, we definitely felt placated as if we were the problem. There was no attempt by the manager to address the waitress’s behavior. Just wanted to share the...
Read moreI'm leaving a 1 star review because of how I was treated after I had to cancel a reservation for the private room. Lacy is the person who handles the reservations and the person I was communicating with. The reservation was on Saturday and unfortunately we had several people say that they couldn't come on Wednesday. I emailed Lacy Wednesday evening to let her know that we would no longer be able to keep our reservation because there is a $1000 drink/food minimum and 4 of our paying adults could no longer join us. Two of them had COVID. This was her exact response to me at 7am Thursday after I read her response and asked if she thought it would be too busy for my party to just walk in and eat without a reservation: "Good morning, That is unfortunate since we have already staffed for your event and did have other leads for the same space this evening which were turned away. Looking over your contract, I do only have you contracted for 20 guests for however I will go ahead and release the space. Although there is no concert at AAC Saturday night, there is Disney on Ice and it's also March Madness so I would anticipate it being pretty busy." After this response I told her that I couldn't control people's personal reasons for not being able to attend. I also asked her if the booths were still available to reserve and she never responded to me. I guess she was that upset because I cancelled. I cancelled the reservation in an acceptable amount of time so I'm not sure what her problem was with me. Half of our party was teenagers and children under 12. Losing 4 paying adults from my party would have required my husband and I to pay around $500 or more out of our own packets and that's insane. Lacy didn't care though. We have booked a new reservation at a kinder establishment that doesn't require a $1000 food and...
Read moreWe stopped in before a hockey game so it was definitely busy. The restaurant and open seating bar areas were awesome, and the service was fantastic. When we got a table in the restaurant it was a lot faster than expected which was awesome. Our server Tyler was fantastic.
My husband had the steak nachos. I didn't get pictures of the nachos but my husband said they were great, he just wished there was a little more steak for the price.
I had the breakfast tacos but was pretty disappointed. The "scrambled" eggs were a flat disc on the tortilla, and unfortunately were pretty bland. it's possible I didn't get much out of them because of the way they were prepared as a flat disc rather than the traditional way of making them.
The red potatoes, star of this taco, were unfortunately the most disappointing, they were cooked just fine but severely lacking in any kind of flavor. Maybe if they were smashed (not mashed or whole) and seasoned they would have been better. The Cheesey Grits however were great, best part of my meal by far and I ended up adding some onto the taco to give it some flavor.
I did let Tyler know about my confusion on the eggs and to his credit, he offered to have some made how I was expecting. I did decline mainly because from what I had tasted already I didn't want to wait for unseasoned/bland scrambled eggs.
I will say I'm not the type to send food back because I hate wasting food and would only ask for that if my order came out completely wrong.
All that being said I would certainly visit again but would avoid those tacos and try the strawberry cheesecake waffles cause those really...
