Based on the other reviews, I must have hit this place on an off day. As I live in Victory Park, I was so excited to finally have a breakfast place a 2 min walk away, but overall I was just disappointed.
My biscuit was very good. I built my own with chicken, egg, cheese, and fried green tomatoes (2) on a buttermilk biscuit. $18 after tax. Unless youâre like me, and just wanted something very specific, stick to their normal biscuit menu unless you want to pay a ton!
I got a side of cheese grits. I looked at the pics in other reviews, mine didnât look like that. They were thick enough to completely form to the container, bland, and I couldnât taste any cheese in them at all. Legit, Waffle House has better grits.
I got a cinnamon roll. The taste was ok, but there wasnât much of a glaze to it so overall it was pretty dry and not really what you expect of a cinnamon roll.
The biscuit was super good! But itâs so overpriced compared to biscuit bar and other places with chicken biscuits. I went to a sit down breakfast at All Good last Sunday for cheaper than I ate here (total bill was $25 for just the 3 things mentioned above) and all the food was edible. The other things I ordered were just very meh. The grits were so gross I took 2 bites and tossed it.
Iâll probably try it again just for the convenience. If itâs better, Iâll definitely update...
Read moreVery disappointed by my experience at Rise. I stopped in randomly on a Sunday morning to pick up two biscuit sandwiches. First, it was very expensive at $19 for 2 biscuits but thats to be expected. They didnât give us any estimate on the time but the place looked pretty busy so we expected to be waiting a bit.
But then we had to wait 45 MINUTES. With no wait time estimates, no updates. Just plenty of uber eats orders coming and going in the mean time. There were only 2 people working and they certainly werenât hustling. After 35 minutes we were ready to give up but asked how long it would be and they said we were 3rd in line now so we decided to wait it out. When we finally got our food they didnât bother to give us a âsorry for the waitâ or even a âhave a good dayâ, he just handed us our food.
The only redeeming factor in my experience is the food itself which is very tasty but certainly not worth the price. It is very flavorful and juicy but the chicken was not crispy at all.
TLDR: Save your money and time and just go to...
Read moreLove love the food here but im more upset I cant redeem my free sandwich on my order. I would gladly spend any amount just to eat the breakfast sandwichs but its really frustrating when I've tried to redeem my free sandwich coupon and went to the location type in my number show the guy in the back my coupon and nothing popped up for me to be able to redeem my freebie. I'm not sure if the system is just old or some wonky point system but how is that can spend money and gain points but I cant redeem my rewards. Me and the guy(cook) sat there forever trying to understand why it wasn't popping up. He told me the owner was sitting right at the table but for some reason he didn't go ask her to look deeper into the issue. I guess because she was talking to somone she must have been in a meeting but I still feel that he could have quickly asked if the rewards were not working or figured out something. Either way I will still eat here but beware the website/app itself is not like your typical McDonald's/...
