I was in Dallas on a business trip and training for a half marathon. I ran the Katy Trail on a misty Saturday morning, at around 8-9 AM. The trail is very well maintained and nicely landscaped. There are separate paths for cyclists and pedestrians. Despite the muggy weather, there were still dozens of people out. I felt SAFE as a single female here. There are street lamps, benches, and trashcans along the route. It is 3.5 miles (one way) of uninterrupted path as there are bridges over the road crossings. I would run here again if I find myself back in downtown Dallas.

Great trail! The south end start near American Airlines Center, and ends in highland park. My favorite way to access the south trailhead is to take the dart rail to victory station and follow Google maps to the entrance. Other than the katy trail ice house, there are no bathrooms, so plan accordingly. There trail is ideal for bicycles and walking.

Nice walking and biking trail near white rock lake!! Lots of beauty and nature too see. Fishing as well! It’s a super safe and nice area! Bring your dogs pets easy access and tons of trailheads to start on.

This “trail” Is just a paved 3 mile road-ish that is bombarded by everyone living downtown with nothing to do on a comfortable morning. I mean… it’s fine if you haven’t been on other true city hiking/biking trails (Houston’s BLOOOWS this one away with 50 miles of biking in any direction you can get can happily get lost in). I’m baffled at people dropping 5 stars on this honestly.

It’s really just a large 3 mile extra wide sidewalk of crammed people. More like a good walking/scooter trail, forget biking.

This is like giving a classy McDonald’s burger 5 stars… it’s still a...

Great trail. Mostly shaded with good landscaping. Connects with other trails in the north via Mckinney ave. And McCommas that can take you out to White rock lake. Ends right by a dedicated bike lane in Victory park that you can take into downtown. Also connects with Turtle creek. Taking one star off (wish I could just do half a star) because too many pedestrians do not follow the rules and walk on the running cycling lane instead of the dedicated walking sections. If you're on a bike plan to ride at a...
