DISHONEST PLACE. This place stole from me, didn’t own up to it, and refuses to give me a call back. I was persuaded to purchase a “VIP Membership” bottle which they flaunt allows you to have your bottle on hand for future visits to drink from, to skip the wait without a reservation, and attend special member only events. A few friends also bought their own bottles, some multiples. I moved away from downtown Dallas so had not been in a while but I showed up in December without having been since the summer. Surprise, surprise they can’t find my bottle I purchased which are supposed to be locked up front with name tags. I then got accused in front of my two guests of “you must have drank it all” and have it brushed off. I have only been three times prior and used the bottle on those visits to invite a guest for a drink so that’s not at all correct since that is only six drinks and a bottle is approximately twice as many drinks. This place has zero accountability and doesn’t care. The bartender that was not waiting on us that day then grabs a used bottle from the shelf and tries to give me what’s left in the bottle (respectable but not after being insulted and accused by the waitress). My two guests and I on this visit got up and left. I asked for the manager to call me about the missing “VIP membership” bottle. No call back. After a month, I get a text from them about a special member only event coming up so I respond again asking for a call back about the missing bottle but still no response. They clearly don’t care about anything other than upselling you and taking your money upfront. No one has called me, they took my money and failed to provide the service and product they sold. Great concept, horrible execution, zero responsibility, and failure of management. Avoid this place. The other reviews go to show how disorganized and dishonest...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of experiencing the timeless charm of Columbian Country Club in Dallas, Texas. Steeped in history and inspired by the bygone era of the late 19th century, this premier cocktail lounge effortlessly blends tradition with sophistication. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was transported to a world of opulence and elegance.
The ambiance of Columbian Country Club is a perfect balance of old-world glamour, with dimmed lighting, plush seating, and a timeless décor. The attention to detail in recreating the atmosphere of New York City’s golden era is commendable. It truly felt like a sanctuary where elegance meets classic charm.
What sets Columbian Country Club apart is not just its aesthetics but the exceptional experience it offers. The carefully curated martini menu is a testament to the art of mixology, featuring a blend of classics and innovative creations. Each sip takes you on a journey through time, allowing you to toast to the past while celebrating the present.
As someone who appreciates a well-crafted cocktail and values the importance of ambiance, Columbian Country Club exceeded my expectations. The dedication to honoring the legacy of the original club is evident in every aspect of this establishment. Whether you’re a connoisseur of martinis or someone seeking a refined atmosphere for memorable gatherings, Columbian Country Club is a must-visit. It’s a five-star experience that seamlessly combines history, tradition, and the timeless allure of...
Read moreStrongly recommend you make a reservation! We made one and were quickly seated, however, you will not be given enough space to hardly enjoy a drink without being bumped into (even while seated).
The hostess was wonderful, service was great, drinks and food were phenomenal and the vibe was outstanding.
Biggest issue was space. We were sat at a table where the people next to us were overflowing their table and had to stand up each time we wanted to get up. Any time you go to use the restroom you have to snake your way through an over crowded area- they really pack everyone in. Not to mention, people standing around their table which was so close to ours that their bottoms were literally at our face level and constantly bumping into us.
We understand it is a “bar” but when you are paying higher dollar for drinks and make a reservation, you should at least have your own bit of space and chairs. One of our chairs was a foot stool taken from another area.
If you don’t mind paying to be squished in a building like sardines,...
