Chop House Burger Dallas — Restaurant in Dallas

On vacation with my partner and we decided to order online so we wouldn’t have to worry about parking. Ordered through their website and get a message saying it would be ready in 15 minutes so I arrive and go in while my partner drives around the block. No orders coming out. Spoke with someone else who was waiting and he informed me he was waiting for half an hour already. He asked one of the men working (bald head, glasses) and he was incredibly rude telling this man it wasn’t ready and would be ready when it came out. I waited a little and then overheard one of the workers telling the people in line ordering no shakes were available. We had ordered online and ordered two shakes so I asked the man (glasses) if we would receive a partial refund. He was rude with me and said the app we ordered through would need to refund us. I explained I ordered through their website and he kept telling me the app would refund me. I asked to cancel our order and get a full refund and he told me they don’t do refunds and to go through the app. I downloaded the app on the bottom of my emailed receipt, no orders. So I called customer service for the app and they informed me the restaurant would need to refund me even though the man was adamant they won’t and I would need to go through the app. Now I need to ask for a charge back with my bank. $49 including tip down the drain for no food and a terrible experience. My wife, 11-yo son, and I were in town for the VEX World Robotics Championship. We got on Google Maps and filtered restaurants by distance from the convention center and came across Chop House Burger. We walked down and were delighted to find that though the place was busy, there was plenty of room for us!

The not-so-good stuff - let's get this out of the way first: The table needed cleaned when we sat down. I couldn't flag anyone down, so we pulled out some wet-wipes and took care of it ourselves. The fountain machine had some "spraying" issues, and I had to wipe down my forearm when I was done filling.

The good stuff - my favorite part: PRICE: For downtown Dallas, this place is selling OUTSTANDING food at at great prices! Three of us ate full meals (shared fries, each had a drink) for $40! Great food FAST. The food was restaurant quality and fast-food pace. Amazing. We got our food quickly, and it was HOT off the grill! Did I say the food was AMAZING?! I had the best burger I've had for quite a while. Very impressive. Great service. Despite the issue with the table, we were greeted with genuine interest and joy, and our ordering experience was seamless.

Summary: If you're looking for a great burger, go no further. If you're looking for a fun place to eat, this is it. If you're wanting to do that at a good value - THIS IS IT! We're heading back...

I was in town for a conference and our group ended up at this place when others were all closed for private parties or had a two hour wait for a table. We got through the line to order relatively quickly, but the woman at the check out counter was super unfriendly. She was really unhelpful when we asked questions about the menu, especially when it came to questions about allergy items. All I ordered was a milkshake and a small basket of fries. I waited an hour and 15 minutes to get my food. Everyone else in my group waited at least 45, but they were all done before I even got my two small things. I had worried that they had forgotten my order and so when it was close to the hour mark, I went and talked to the girl at the checkout and also the one delivering food to tables. Both gave a a total non-response. I asked if I could just have my money back because I wasn't even hungry anymore and they ignored me. I went up there two more times and the last time, the woman delivering food was like "oh, you still haven't gotten your order?" Um no. She should know since she is the one bringing them out!!! Bad experience all around. Bad customer service. Dirty eating area. Long wait for food that came out cold and burned. Food wasn't worth the wait. ...
