My girlfriend ordered me some cupcakes today to kick off my birthday weekend. When I went to pick them up, the girls in the front told me that my girlfriend had given someone else permission to come and pick them up, and they had given my cupcakes to them. I pleaded my case with the ladies telling them that they were mistaken because my girlfriend was right outside but being a black male I guess, just makes white people always feel that your lying so I had to let my girlfriend handle the situation…but her being a black female almost made matters worse because she is willing to take it there, because she is going to demand proper service especially on my birthday because it’s a special occasion, and we’re just right like that, I would do the same for her on her special day. I’m sure they would have rather dealt with me but to make a long story short and bring this calamity all together, I have one question Fluellen, how you gonna give my cupcakes away to a total stranger, without asking for identification or anything and then attempt to make me feel like a liar? You also refused, at first to give me my cupcakes until my girlfriend stepped into the situation. I hope that you don’t treat all of your customers like this, I had cars honking at me because I was waiting on my girlfriend to come back out of your store on a busy Saturday night downtown Dallas TX, but you all gave us such a hard time it ruined our night and my kickoff birthday celebration!!! Read moreWe went here to get cupcakes for our wedding. We went in and sampled $40 worth of different cupcakes and LOVED THEM. However, a couple months out from the wedding we called to verify everything and found they had LOST OUR ORDER that we had prepaid for. After lots of phone calls and verifications, we found the invoice and recreated the order. We called twice more leading to the wedding to verify the order, the delivery location and time. At the day of our wedding at the reception we anticipated the cupcakes to be there by 1. When they didn’t arrive we were told the cupcakes would be there by “the end of the hour (2pm)”. They didn’t come at 2. After 3 more phone calls and 30 minutes later they came with repeated assurances he was “down the road”. By the time they came we already had quite a few guests leave. We almost missed opportunities to take the photo of feeding cupcakes to each other.
What did the manager do to fix this? $75 refund. The manager didn’t even take time from their day to apologize themselves for severely impacting our reception with family and friends. The insult they produced by being late was overshadowed by the pennies they offered as an “apology”. We have spend over $400 and the best we got was “we’re sorry” and $75. They had a promotion and that’s how we were originally introduced to the brand as well as the delicious product! My complaint is regarding the customer service today when my daughter went in and bought cupcakes this afternoon 11-5-2021 around the 4:45pm timeframe as she does for an end of the week treat. The red velvet cupcake was placed in the box sideways. This was the first time that she asked for separate boxes. The look on her face when she opened the beautiful pink box was a look of sheer disappointment. I know that there are more important things in the world than a smashed sideways cupcake but the problem was when I called the store to address it. By the way this was the first complaint we have ever had.
