Reserved the private room for a sit down dinner celebration of 20+ guests. Not a huge planner of events myself and I was hesitant seeing as the space is fairly new to the Dallas area but Event Manager Bobby M. did a great job of working with me to get the details right and asking the right questions.
Service- Everything was up to par with expectations, we added appetizers/starters to be ready before the event started which helped keep the momentum with ordering. Speed for ordering drinks/entrees and receiving was right on time. Never at any point did we feel neglected as a party. Big shoutout to our dedicated server Ondre who constantly checked in with me to make sure everything kept moving and was very good at keeping tabs of everyone especially with guests switching seats to mingle and talk at the event. Also was very helpful with the selection of drinks for a champagne toast.
Food and Drinks- Very delicious, we went with an à la carte option so multiple different food/drink orders and quality was fairly consistent all around. For similar or larger size parties I would certainly consider trying a pre-selected/prefix menu to keep ordering simplified.
Venue space- The private room does have a heavy moveable partition to keep the venue private but it can be opened for a more semi-private setting. It is spacious enough for different seating arrangements and people to mingle around, lounge seating on the back wall, vibrant colors, and plenty of sunlight/mood lighting for pictures. With 20 guests we had more than enough room. There is also a TV available in the background if needed or just use as background. The sound levels for the room itself are controlled separately from the rest of the floor so it can be calmer for quieter conversation.
Atmosphere- True to the name much more northeastern coastal brunch vibe but having a traditional sit-down service which we did was certainly possible. To me it definitely lends to more of a vibrant party/celebration versus a quieter evening. After our event it was possible to visit the top floor for more music and drinks to extend the evening but note this is not reserved and more of a typical first come first serve bar/cocktail lounge area. Restaurant crowd was full throughout the night but it never felt cramped.
Accessibility- Our attendees also consisted of young and old, there is an accessible elevator large enough for wheelchairs/strollers to the second floor where the space is located . They also had kid-style menu options available as well along with high-chairs on request.
Parking- It is street parking, so guests may need to walk to the venue, which on a Friday afternoon/evening was fairly easy to find spaces. The hotel right next door does provide valet parking for non-hotel guests as of right now, but I have heard that it's not always guaranteed available if the outside hotel itself is having an event and prioritizing their guests first.
Price- From quite comparable to even better value than other venues within the similar level of service/dining quality with levels of flexibility in how to manage expenses for food and beverage. I found it well worth the price paid.
Overall- If you are looking for an upbeat, trendy, and smart casual location with active conversation, solid food, and great drinks for a friends/family event, this was an excellent...
Read moreWhere do I start? I was very excited to take my girlfriend here and visit some friends who live nearby this place. It had just recently opened and the reviews are pretty good. Let's just say my excitement dwindled very fast. The place is decorated very nice and is very instagramable with 3 floors. It was brunch which is my worst type of cuisine personally but they did have some non brunch items which I did appreciate. We ordered the tuna tartare. I ordered a spicy bloody mary and my girl ordered a cappuccino. My friends ordered calamari which they were out of. The food and drinks took forever to come out. The tuna tartare was bland. The quality was pretty good but the taste was just very mid.i would rate it a 6.5 for this appetizer. It took 30 minutes for the cappuccino to come out. She did like it though. She had already ordered another drink since it didn't arrive so then she had 2 drinks at the and time. Horrible pacing of a meal. For entree, we ordered the fish sandwich and mushroom truffle pizza. She asked if I wanted chips, fries,or salad with my sandwich. I chose fries. Again, we waited forever for the food. It eventually came so we were happy. The fish sandwich looked pretty good but it had so much cheddar cheese on it you could not taste the fish. I never understood the whole fish and cheese together. I don't think it pairs well with subtle fish. The fries were good. Itaste the sandwich a 5.7 and fries an 8.The pizza was tasty but so greasy. The undercarriage was all grease. Not sure if that's what it was supposed to be but I did score it a 6.5. At the end of the meal, they have you split the check yourself and pay on the phone. Another thing that pisses me off. Then there's the service charge which they don't tell you what it is. It's an 18% tip automatically added for a party of 4 with just 2 on my check. But they have the extra tip option right there really big to have you tip more. Not only do they do less for service (cashing out and splitting checks), they want more tip from you. I tip 20% or more but when you add it automatically, the server actually made less, but I do not add the extra because of the ridiculous tipping culture these restaurants are turning to. Definitely not the servers fault for the very slow service but things could have been communicated much better. Like I had no idea my fries were and added $7.00 when she asked me what I wanted for a side. It was shady to not let you know. The bathroom floor was sticky which was gross and could have used much better quality paper towels. Seems they decided to save money on the bathroom decor and finish outs. Not impressed. All in all and I hate to say it. Poor planning and readiness for their 2nd brunch service. At this price point, you expect so much more. It really seems like just a money grab. Great for pictures but no substance or service. For what you pay there are far better choices and I'll be surprised if this place makes it very long. People are getting tired of paying more for subpar experiences that just look nice on the surface. I do not recommend this place from this 1st experience. Maybe they can turn it around but the whole concept seems fake and Definitely not worth your hard...

Check in: The check in host was exceptional! She worked us in and had great communication to the other hosts to get everyone seated. After that it went down hill pretty quick. The host she motioned to have us seated confused us for another couple, the other couple was kind and said it wasn’t them but was us instead. The host’s reply was so bizarre, she turned around and with a confused look responded with “OHHH. YALL?? HUH? Follow me let’s go.” Distasteful and oddly unprofessional response for an upscale experience.
Service + Food: When we got seated, we requested outdoor seating but there’s either a vent or fan above you that’s so loud and blows air on you pretty aggressively. They only offer bottled water or sparkling water for a fee. My wife’s drink was poured in a glass and we noticed there was a lipstick stain on the glass. Our server, Nathan, kindly comp’d the water for us. Afterwards we ordered the Crab and Shrimp Bruschetta appetizer and this was a 10/10! Excellent balance of flavors and prepared exceptionally well! Unfortunately when we were seated, they forgot to give us any napkins or silverware. We had to flag our server to get his attention. Additionally, they didn’t give any small plates for the appetizer. My wife and I were just eating this over the plate it was served on, without plates, napkins, or silverware. Odd right?
Nathan was kind, but extremely inattentive. We had to get his attention repeatedly. We had to flag him down for everything. When we flagged him down to order he said “Hey! Your food should be out shortly. Oh wait, never mind y’all haven’t ordered yet.” A bit of a head scratcher.
I had the fish and chips, while my wife had the pasta. Food was good! The cost didn’t seem to line up with the quality. The fish and chips were $26, and although it was good I’ve had much better for less. I would’ve priced this item closer to $18. The fries were the most average fries I ever tasted, but the fish was flaky and lightly battered.
Lastly, again to order dessert we had to flag our server yet again. They have an option to pay through a QR code, but they charge a service fee to use it. Instead we paid for the bill with our server. When the bill came out our total was $114, when the receipt came back, it was $134. I went up to our server Nathan and asked about the discrepancy. He said that he found out another trainee mistakenly added a drink to our tab. If that’s true, there’s grace and we understand but as any employee with any employer you should confirm the amount charged and the amount billed matches. He voided $20 and said my bank would correct everything.
The Hampton Social automatically includes 18% gratuity for all bills to help pay the staff, but because of this we feel like our service fell short. The whole experience was whack even though the vibes and view are nice. If they plan on staying in business for the long haul they’ll need someone to do some major training on client experience.
We likely won’t be coming back.
Edit: never heard anything back about our experience, knocking them down a star....
