In all my life going to different restaurants and parts of the country, never have I ever experienced what took place at this location. The service to put lightly was Abhorrent. A simple food order turned a-wall, a group of us ordered food online for our lunch period. Standard as many of us are busy working and cant all just leave to go get food. Little did we know we were in the midst of launching the great chicken heist of the 21st century. When our entrusted crew member arrived at the location he was instantly found out by the detective working the register, she knew that he was there to steal the chicken. Exclaiming that he cant take the food without having written authorization for the food, naturally we all sent our confirmation codes to show this is us and we want our food. Nope she was to clever for this , she had been preparing for this day for years.. she knew we would've forged these documents. What was she left to do... well she literally slammed the door on us saying "I wont serve you your food good day we are done"... Now in all seriousness honestly she was extremely rude about this unable to fathom any other possibility other than we are here to steal food ordered by people who we know by name and have their order forums in hand. She was over the top and disrespectful and frankly doesnt belong in a customer service roll. Part of working in service is finding opportunities to go the extra mile to provide each customer with a positive experience so they keep coming back. Making chicken is the easy part.. building a customer base where people feel welcomed is the hard part. Frankly Churches has utterly failed to deliver on the latter. I shall not...
Read moreThe only reason I’m giving one star is because zero stars aren’t an option. But, my FIRST experience was the absolute worse I’ve ever experienced at the Church’s Fried Chicken on Maple and Inwood.
I ordered through drive thru and was asked to pull to the front and my order will be brought to me. After a 20 minute I pulled back around drive thru. The female worker (not the one who took my order) working the window looked at me three...THREE TIMES and when I tapped on the window she gave me the “brush off hand”, rolled her eyes and walked away. Then a cook came to the window and looked at my receipt and said “oh it’s cooking now”. I’m like I’ve been waiting over 20 minutes. I asked for a manager (who happened to be the one who took my order). She came to the window but apparently forgot I was waiting. I pointed out the female worker who walked away and complained about her behavior and the long wait. The cook came from his station to curse loudly where everyone could hear saying “Sh** if she don’t want to wait she can Fn leave”. Then the female worker told me to stop “Fn talking and just wait”. Even though the manager seemed to be used to and accepting of the work ethic and unprofessional disrespectful behavior of her employees, she apologized for “these kinds today” and refunded my money. There will NOT be second visit...
Read moreDO NOT USE DOOR DASH FOR THIS LOCATION! I used to love churchs when I lived in south texas before we moved. I didnt have one near me in denton so we always used popeyes. No problem. Well my daughter is in NICU and I really wanted to eat some good fried chicken and I needed it delivered so I looked up on door dash places for chicken. Churchs came up. Cool. Ordered a 6 piece all white meat, with two sides, biscuits and 1/2 gallon sweet tea. When the dasher picks it up they say that they dont have the tea and we weren't charged(looked on the receipt and it's still the same price as before). When they get to childrens, we go downstairs and go pick it up from them and go upstairs to eat. I'm starvin( currently pumping for my daughter who's 7 weeks and has to eat from a tube which makes me reallllly hungry) and open the bag to find theres no biscuits, the sides have barely a handful in each bag(fries and oakra) and was burnt, and the chicken, which was supposed to be spicy, was old and dry. Im very disappointed in the dashes inability to check the bag and the store not giving me fresh food. I had to find other food which means spend more money and not get a good choice since the kitchen is closed. I really just wanted good food. I'll stick with popeyes...
