Update: Several months after opening, I continue to love this place. The employees are top notch, always personable and helpful. Everything I’ve had here is delicious (although the Americano continues to be my go-to). They also have a great non-dairy milk selection (soy, almond, coconut, oat). Another plus is that just about any seat you choose is close to an outlet. If you want to work or charge your phone up for a bit while you enjoy your coffee in a friendly atmosphere, this is the place.
Original review:
I’ve been so excited for this place to open and my first quick visit did not disappoint. The employees held the door for my double stroller and gave my kids each a sticker, which made them happy. I ordered a small half-caff americano ($2.49 including tax), received it very quickly, and was out the door before the kids had time to even think about getting antsy. Five stars for taste as well. This americano is the best I’ve had in recent memory.
To sum up my first impression: they know their coffee, they know customer service, and I will...
Read moreDrip Coffee 2 has a lot going for it. The coffee itself was perfectly fine – a solid, no-frills cup of drip that hit the spot. The interior is also quite lovely, with a modern and airy design that makes it a pleasant place to sit and sip. However, my experience was unfortunately soured by the barista. When I politely asked for the wifi password, she curtly told me it was on my receipt. Since I hadn't received a receipt (for reasons unknown), I mentioned this. She seemed visibly annoyed by my request and, while she did eventually provide the password, her demeanor was quite rude and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. It would be much better if the wifi password was displayed somewhere visible, or perhaps offered verbally without making the customer feel like a burden. A little more friendliness from the barista would also go a long way in making Drip Coffee 2 a truly enjoyable experience. As it stands, it's a nice space with decent coffee, but the service needs...
Read moreFor the sake of mankind, please steer clear of this place. It is not our fault as customers that these baristas don’t like their jobs. And today, I drew the short end of that stick with them. These people will give you the stink eye. They signed up for that. That’s the ugly side of life. I can’t help stupid people, I can only hope they wake up.
I would suggest corporate takes a deeper look into their management team. The staff here can grossly judgemental and stereotypical. I had the same issue with their staff at their Lovers Lane location as well when I was a resident of University Park. While their coffee is above average, their staff demonstrates a lack of care based on appearances and false...
