"Best Fajitas in town", eh Chili's has better if this is the "best". I did read on the reviews take out is better as the service here is meh and we won't be eating here again so idk about take out but the service was meh. The girl didn't get us refills, didn't ask us if we wanted more rice or beans, didn't even tell us we had to pay up at the front instead of giving us a ticket. The latter part I thought was rude, if people never ate there before you should tell me how things work. It's the employees jobs to let the customers know how their restaurant does business as every restaurant is a bit different. She also never said if certain things would be extra but apparently they weren't like we asked for a different salsa and more tortillas. The salsa on their website is bright RED (a normal color for salsa), what we got was warm (most salsa is cold) and a brownish color and tasted peppery and watery. Idk what kind of tomato it was or what was in it but it was meh. The chips were good, thicker than I'd like but tasted fresh and made in-house not from a bag. We also got queso which was a waste of money, it tasted like Nico's canned nacho cheese (watery & bland) mixed with their pico de gallo (it 100% was as we got pico with our meal and the chunks looked the same and tasted very onion-y). If they used Velveeta at least it would've tasted like something/like cheese. It was also weird that they phoned in the queso but everything else seemed homemade. Why skimp on something that is very popular? The tortillas had a coating of flour on them which was kind of unpleasant, the flavor was decent but they looked ripped and not even sorta round in shape. The plus side? They def were fresh and handmade. We ordered 1/2 lb of mixed meat for the fajitas and it honestly is enough for one person only which our waiter didn't mention. It's $18 which is expensive for fajitas IMO, most places are $14-15 in this area or less. It came out in a tiny pan but their 1 lb was $34 which we could eat elsewhere for that much. They also have these weird metal tables that feel super cheap and are made from some type of tin or aluminum. The meat tasted fine but wasn't really seasoned strongly enough for my taste and was sizzling when it came out. For what they give you the price is a bit laughable as they give you the thinnest cuts of meat and use the cheapest steak possible. The rice here was quite good (I wanted a refill but the waitress disappeared) and the beans were just ok (prefer them smashed a bit more and they were very bland). Overall, I wish we had went to On the boarder but we satisfied our curiosity and won't be back. The food is not terrible but very mediocre, especially for the price. They also have a tiny menu so everything should be excellent (since they aren't making anything else - it was all fresh though) and better size portions. Overall if you go maybe get a quesadilla as it probably has the same amount of meat as the fajitas but at...

Yes, I gave them 5 stars a couple of years ago, but, ohh, how things have changed! I will still give them 2 stars for the food, however the last 2 times that we ordered pick-up, the order has not been correct. And the following is for the Campbell location, an experience just a few days ago.
I guess that it is great that some restaurants have weathered the COVID situation so well that they feel like they don't need any more business. That's what I experienced on my last visit to Fajita Pete's on Campbell. They have a lunch special that ends at 2pm. I arrived 10 minutes late. I asked if they would still serve me the lunch special. The manager (I guess) told me "No." I tried to plead my case, that I was only 10 minutes late. I asked if they just did not have any of the lunch menu food still warm in the kitchen. She told me that yes, they had the food, but that she was not going to give me the lunch price. I looked at her and asked, "isn't it better to sell me the lunch deal for $7.99 plus a drink plus a tip than to make no money from me at all?" She answered "no!".
Obviously Fajita Pete's is not hurting for business and this lady was not interested in me as a customer, nor the money that I was going to spend.
As a result, I might not be going back. And it's a shame. When they first opened, the owner was often present and treated all of the customers so well. This no longer seems to be the case.
I spoke with some of my neighbors and they indicated that the service has really dropped off. One of the neighbors even said that he had an experience similar to mine with the same female manager.
Now, in their defense, it was 10 minutes after the lunch special ended. So, technically, they were not misleading with their advertising. But really, I thought that the COVID situation hurt restaurants. I found that this is NOT the case here, that Fajita Pete's must be rolling in the dough.
I ended up going to another Tex-Mex restaurant where their lunch special also ended at 2pm. But when I asked, they smiled and welcomed me, telling me that it did not matter and that they were happy to offer me the lunch deal. Wow, what a difference!
Oh, well, since Fajita Pete's obviously doesn't care about me spending my money with them, then I am happy to oblige. My lunch budget will go...
Read moreI placed an order for pickup on Grubhub on 10/10 @ 5:53 p.m. to be picked up by my elderly mother. She arrived a little after 6, called the restaurant to tell them she was there and was told they did not have an order for her. The girl went back in to check and came out ten minutes later to tell her there wasn't an order for her. I happened to be on the phone with my mom at the time and told her that the order was placed on Grubhub and was told "Oh, that's different." She left my mom sitting in the car in the heat and never returned. I called the restaurant at 6:36 as the order still had not been brought to the car. I was immediately put on hold. I waited five minutes on hold before deciding to go to the restaurant myself. I arrived at 6:57 and was still on hold with the restaurant when I arrived, but as I got to the front door, the call was disconnected. I had to continue to wait for someone to assist, and the same girl that left my mom sitting in the parking lot had to look up the order again like she had no clue what I was talking about. The older lady at the counter finally asked me what was going on, but when I started explaining, she just kept telling me she had just gotten there. She then went back and starting putting the order together. I will NOT do business with anyone that allows an elderly member of society to sit in their car in the heat without letting them know what's going on with their order! This is the WORST service I have ever encountered with any business, food service or otherwise! When my mom arrived, there were no other cars in the lot, so there's no excuse for this lack of service. I will say that the original girl that talked to my mom did apologize and said she would refund the cost of the order, and that is appreciated, but she really should have gone out and apologized to my mom!!!! And for an order to take well over an hour, they should refund it!!! Will NOT do business...
