The Enchanted Enchiladas of Gloria's Kingdom Once upon a time, in the mystical land of the Emerald Realm, there lay a quaint and unassuming eatery known as Gloria's. Nestled between the shimmering foliage and a bustling enterprise, its presence was as inconspicuous as a whispering breeze. Every Saturday, as the sun dipped below the horizon like a giant golden coin, the aroma of their legendary sour cream chicken enchiladas would waft gently into the air. It wrapped itself around the neighboring business with the tender embrace of a mother cradling her newborn. Like a siren's song, the enchanting scent lured the inhabitants of the nearby establishment into Gloria's, their feet barely touching the ground as if they were floating on a cloud of euphoria. Upon entering, they were greeted by the warm, cozy ambiance, reminiscent of an elven hearth glowing with the soothing light of a thousand fireflies. The walls, adorned with intricate tapestries, seemed to whisper the tales of ancient culinary magic. At the helm of this enchanted sanctuary stood Jaime, the wise and benevolent manager, who guided his team of culinary wizards with grace and poise. Together with the ever-charming bar staff, they crafted potions of liquid delight that had the power to bewitch even the weariest of souls. The moment the first bite of the sour cream chicken enchilada touched their lips, it was as if they had been transported to another realm, a place where dragons soared through the sky like graceful dancers, and unicorns frolicked in fields of emerald green. Each morsel was an adventure in itself, with tender chicken as soft as a faerie's sigh, wrapped in a blanket of corn tortilla as delicate as the finest silk spun by enchanted spiders. The harmony of flavors was like a symphony of divine enchantment, as the tangy sour cream and melted cheese interwove with a subtle heat from the enchanted chilies. It was as if the sun and moon had collided, creating an explosion of celestial delight in their mouths. As the meal concluded, they would leave Gloria's, the lingering taste of the magical enchiladas still dancing upon their tongues like stardust. With each passing Saturday, the bond between the neighboring business and the eatery only grew stronger, the memories of the epicurean delights forever etched into their hearts. And so, the legend of Gloria's and its sour cream chicken enchiladas lived on, a shining beacon of culinary delight in the enchanting Emerald Realm, where one could always find solace and warmth in the company of good friends, the enchanting Jaime and the delightful bar staff.

We went out for a date night as me and my husband do every Friday night. We use to go to Gloria’s every Friday but after some poor experiences the last couple of times. We began only going maybe once every two months in the hopes of getting the server we were accustomed to getting. Tonight we went with the hopes of getting him and we got a server that looked at my husband for only getting an appetizer for his dinner. He only came to the table maybe twice the table next to us was a server from a different restaurant that we frequent she is a black female. They treated her poorly then when we said something the service that we were getting became terrible. The hostess staff called the young women the “N” word and then laughed. When my husband confronted the manger he laughed about the interaction and said he would speak to his staff. We moved from the bar to her table to calm her down the bartender came with the bill demanding payment. We were not finished with our experience and said we would continue ordering he became upset when my husband called the manager over to the table he defended the staff and then told my husband he did not know what he was saying because they were speaking in Spanish and you are white. We have the full video the manager Jaime laughed during the whole experience and walked off after he had staff gather around the table to intimidate us like we were doing something wrong.

Gloria’s in Oak Lawn, Dallas, is an absolute culinary treasure! I recently dined there, and I can confidently say it deserves every bit of its 5-star rating. The vibrant atmosphere and friendly service set the perfect stage for an unforgettable meal. Starting off with their complimentary chips and dip was a delightful experience. The homemade salsa was fresh and bursting with flavor, making it hard to stop munching! But the real stars of the show were the entrees. The carne asada was perfectly grilled, tender, and seasoned to perfection — just the right balance of smoky and savory. And then there was the lechon asada, served with yucca fries and sweet plantains. It was nothing short of spectacular! The lechon was succulent and beautifully crispy, pairing wonderfully with the crispy yucca fries that had the perfect amount of seasoning. The sweet plantains added a delightful contrast that rounded out the meal beautifully. Overall, Gloria’s is a must-visit if you’re in the area. From the delicious food to the inviting ambiance, it’s a dining experience you won't want to miss! I can't wait to come back and try more from their menu!

I visited this location yesterday evening and had a horrible experience. I usually come to this location because the service is typically great, but last night it was horrible. Our server was Ivan R. and he had the worse attitude, very unprofessional, and hostile. Ivan seemed as though he did not want to wait on our table from the beginning . He seemed irritated because we did not order when he wanted us to. He never came back to offer refills, always disappeared from our table for over 10 min. I had to ask another server to get him. He brought us out food , and we did not have any eating utensils, I had to ask a hostess to bring those. Then I told Ivan after he returned from being gone for 15 min that I wanted to place a to go order, ( he had an attitude about that) At this point we asked was he having a good evening, because I do understand servers are still human and they can have bad days. This question as asked to make him aware we are not getting good service and give him the opportunity to correct his behavior. Ivan did not care, he stood there and said he is fine. He took my To Go order, brought it out without one of the side items I asked for. As I'm looking in the bag for it while telling him its not there, Ivan proceeds to snatch the bag from me. At this point I am beyond furious, and I ask for the manager, and Ivan's response was that's fine. I spoke to the manager Fernando Diaz and he seemed not bothered by this behavior, he did not speak to the server about his conduct. He did not have the server to come apologize, he just closed us out and stated he apologize for this happening. The manager was too busy trying to return back to the table where he was sitting with guests (I assume these were guests he knew) I am highly upset on the way I was treated, and how the manager excused this behavior. I will send this all the way up...

I am thankful for a week of great service. My job involves individuals who face challenges. I am thankful because of sincere collaboration that those challenges were solved successfully. Yesterday, I visited a restaurant for lunch with 2 co-workers. One of my co-workers stated that she recognized the owner... After being seated, I stated, "let's meet her." The restaurant was Gloria's, a delicious Latin Cuisine. My first remark was, "Are you the Amazing Gloria?"....She said in her quiet essence.. " I am.. I told her that I thought the restaurant was just a name. She said, in a very humble spirit, "I still work in the kitchen." She continued by saying that she and her family have 18 restaurants. I told her that I was so proud of her. I informed her where I am employed. She mentioned that perhaps that she could do something for us in the future. I thanked her...my co-worker and I walked away anticipating a great lunch. We did. We noticed during our time there, that she was just tucked away in spots in the restaurant making sure all was well with her customers. This came as a memory from my Facebook page. I thought it would be just nice to share this compliment about this business and the owner. I wrote it in 2017. I still have the same sentiments.😋🍴

I truly appreciate service and compassion for others. It is my ultimate goal not only in my job, but it is my purpose in life. There are some people when they have been favored with wealth and power, who miss the mark of service and compassion... Their light is on for vanity and greed. I want my light on to shine for...
