Sad to say it was our first disappointing meal since we moved to Dallas a few months ago. It was hard to find parking in the area but we found a spot. When we walked in we were both really excited because the had a large cake selection. We ordered the food and sat down. Had to move tables and chairs because they were wobbly. Food came pretty fast. It looked great. But the meat had no flavor (maybe that's why it came out so fast?). I have never had a burger that was as floverlist as that one. I ordered a buffalo burger medium and they cooked it to much because it was dry as well. My wife had Texas burger meal and it was over cooked and lacked flavor as well. However the onion rings where good and the staff was friendly. We did not order the cake because we did not want to take our chances. Would not be going back to Hunkys ever. Would not recommend this place!

Great burger joint tucked off in the trendy Bishop arts district. If you like burgers and fries this is for you. We had the double cheeseburger and the chilli cheese Hot dog with fries, onion rings and fried mushrooms. They split the hot dog down the middle before cooking it which gives it a great flavor the chilli and cheese were good, the double cheeseburger was huge. The onion rings were awesome. The fries were ok. Those fried mushrooms were great. Over all the food was good enough to return to try other food on the menu. The service was great! We got in, We were served. We ate and left. No problems. The atmosphere was was awesome. They really captured the "burger joint" aesthetic to a tee. One way in and one way out. They had several TVs broadcasting several different shows. Overall a nice experience. If you are in Bishop arts check this place out.

Update, Hunky's does have an organic beef burger. Its delicious! Unfortunately, it was poor training of the folks who answer the phone. Will be in more often now.

Yay! So very disappointed. No more ORGANIC Longhorn Burger. So I ordered 2 regular cheese burgers, as I normally ordered 2 longhorn burgers, one for me, the other for my son. I wasn't asked what type cheese, or how did I wanted cooked. Needless to say, I only ate half, no flavor. Very, very disappointed. My health requires that my beef be organic, preferably grass fed. At this rate I'll be buying my hamburger patties from Whole Foods, or Tom Thumb and cooking them myself. I used to recommend this place to friends for this reason. My sister has breast cancer. I even recommend it to her. "Stop feeding the cancer" I told her.

No fast food organic option in the neighborhood anymore. So it's eat organic at home now, or nothing, since Hunkys stopped making my favorite fast food burger. Guess it's going across the river for Chipotle, since that's the only option available for my autoimmune issues.

I don't allow my children to eat anything but organic. My youngest daughter didn't go into puberty until she was 16. I attribute that to the organic groceries I fed her growing up.

Good luck folks. Take care of your health, GMO's are known carcinogens. The antibiotics and growth hormones in conventional meats along with the GMO's, have created a generation of diabetes, organ failures and all types of cancers. Continue to keep the pharmaceutical industry fueled by eating...

Hunky’s easily exceeds 5 stars! We had a large group of 20 guests and had hopes of visiting a different restaurant on the strip but they couldn’t accommodate our group. This worked in our favor, as we looked nearby and decided Hunky’s would be a great option. I called and spoke to Marcus to ask if they could accommodate us and he made it happen. We arrived 25 minutes later and Marcus greeted us with a smile and had tables reserved for us. Everyone ordered their food smoothly and received drinks before they sat down. Within 15 minutes our orders were coming out and every order was made correctly. Again- 100% order accuracy for a party of 20! Food was tasty, filling, and fresh. I’d also like to add, we had vegan guests and guests with other dietary restrictions, which the menu was inclusive of many options for each of them. To top it off, David brought out a slice of cake for my brother, as we were celebrating his birthday. The entire restaurant joined in to serenade him, which made it all the more special. From the customer service to the fast and accurate orders, we were pleased at every level. I’m sad I hadn’t been a patron of Hunky’s before today but am grateful to have another gem in my tool belt. Thank you Marcus, David, and the rest of the team for making my brother’s birthday lunch amazing! We’re looking forward to...

Such a fun area (Bishop Arts, Dallas, TX) & nostalgic atmosphere in the restaurant itself. Very 1950's diner-ish. Patient, polite staff & friendly service. There is plenty of seating, but it can still get very full. It can also be a lengthy wait, especially around lunch/dinner-time & on weekends. I'll wait, it is good quality food.

They have fresh beef hamburgers & many other options (chicken, bison, turkey, veggie burgers) & many toppings.

The avocado beef burger was very good. The meat was not frozen & cooked just right (juicy, not bloody or dry). The toppings were fresh & french-fries plentiful, fried perfectly. The tater-tots with chili & cheese was huge & tasty. The Elote Corn Bites (seasonal) with smoky chipolte dipping sauce were delicious.

Was not impressed with the bison burger, it appeared to be from a frozen pattie & not flavorful. I'm from the Midwest & know good bison.

Good shakes & malts. Pecan cake was very good, but the birthday cake was not. (It did not have sprinkles throughout cake, just on top & the frosting was clearly made with vegetable/soybean oil, not real buttercream, like pecan variety.)

I highly recommend this restaurant. I have returned & was happy with the...
