I ordered delivery and got an onion bagel with cream cheese and a French toast bagel with egg and cheese. Before I review the bagels I MUST review the customer service which is PHENOMENAL! The customer service alone would make me be a loyal customer. They were out of the bagels I ordered and took the time to not only call me but to say they would make more and that the the delivery would just take a bit longer. Not many businesses would do that. Now to the bagels. As someone born and raised in New York I have high expectations when it comes to bagels. The onion bagel was EXCELLENT. The bagel was loaded with fresh onions. They also put on a good schmear (spread) of cream cheese. The egg sandwich was very good with a quality amount as well. I didn't really taste or notice the French toast but the bagel was most certainly fresh. The prices are extremely reasonable. Overall this place is top notch and I highly recommend. I definitely...
Read moreExcellent bagels - chewy, fresh, flavorful.
I had the salt bagel and the everything bagel and both tasted as they should with the flavors not overwhelming, but rather complimenting, the bread portion of the bagel.
I have not yet tried the muffins but they look yummy.
They have a great selection of cream cheese flavors for those who are more adventurous than I am (Mr. Plain).
The coffee was good as a great bagel/muffin experience can easily be ruined if the coffee is not good.
The service was helpful which is good as many of the customers are new. The staff seems to understand that if they invest a little time in helping customers make their selections that they are more likely to return in the future. I am not sure why more places do not get that.
The place is small but the aroma is heavenly (even in the parking lot).
I will be back again...
Read moreThought I would support a smaller bagel shop but trust the low reviews :( just ordered some disgusting “chicken salad” - tasted like it was made with leftover rotisserie chicken, and questioning how fresh it is. It just tasted really gamey and not like your typical chicken salad.
The bagels were also not good. Not sure why they all smelled like cinnamon sugar when none of the flavors we ordered were cinnamon. Far from a New York bagel - anyone who says that has never actually tried an authentic New York City bagel.
Add to that there was a homeless person outside their storefront that greeted me before I walked in.
Service was friendly and the only reason for the two stars. Disappointing that people that don’t understand good bagels are opening a second bagel shop on lovers lane. Will be sticking to Shugs...
