Kostas is a gem in the center of overpriced trendy restaurants. Step back in time with quality and service and a quaint experience with caring attentive staff that doesn't skimp on service or pleasing customers. Full variety of Greek food including fresh fish. Don't overlook the specials inside the foyer, their leg of lamb is the best I have ever had. Smaller restaurant, open tables. Very good for date or anniversary or special occasion. Any difficult questions or changes taken care of immediately by the staff or owner who is on site overseeing the whole operation. Our top Dallas area mediteranean destination! Photo from end of our Friday night on my birthday

The fact that this place has been in business since forever and I'm just now finding out about it is sickening. I can not believe I have been missing out. I was surprised that there was no crowd around 2pm on a Saturday but I am not complaining. The restaurant is super cute and the servers tended to my table right away. This was my first time ever being at a Greek restaurant so of course I needed help deciding what I wanted to get. The waiter was so helpful and his recommendations were right on point. I enjoyed EVERYTHING I ordered. If you're on the fence about visiting this place please just GO and thank me later.

Kostas Cafe remains a Dallas classic for a reason! They do an excellent job of bringing authentic Greek culture and cuisine all the way to North Texas. The food tastes delicious and they cook everything to perfection. Our group recently ordered take out following a meeting. I didn’t get a picture of everything that we ordered but, we enjoyed it all! I can only provide a limited review of the atmosphere and the service because we ordered pick up but, it was fine. The staff greeted us immediately and we got to watch a Greek dancer and singer while we waited for our order. Overall, I recommend Kostas Cafe!

I visited this beautiful place last week. My family and I have been coming here for years. The atmoshere was great, the food was perect but our waiter was a very big dissapointment We are usually served by our favorite waiter Jimmy. My Mom and the whole family love him , he is always asking us if everything is ok checking on us joking with us and making us feel so at home. I guess he was not there becuse I didnt see him that evening. We walked in and the waiter with the long pony tail I think his name was Jodi just told us to sit anywhwre, there were four of us but we were nit directed were to go, so we sat ourselves. We waited very long for the menus, we got water and bread and againhad to wait for what seemed to long to plave our drink orders. Maybe he was just having a bad day but he didnt look very happy, was very short with us when asked several questions wheb we finally got our meals the plates were pretty much slammed on the table and away he went. He never returned until the meal was over. This is the first time in years, that we felt rushed and unattended. I hope we are never served by him again,We are very reasonable and understand sometimes restaurats are understaffed and very busy but this was on a Monday evening and quite slow! I hope Jimmy is still working thereand we will definately return. There seemed to be a new waitress there as well we have not...

Was there with my boyfriend last Saturday. First time there.Loved tha place very much. The server was nice but she was quite persistant on us buying a bottle when all we really wanted was a couple of glasses. However when my boyfriend said let's start with two glasses, her response was I'm not trying to tell you what to do but you should get the bottle, and take home what we dont finish. We opted for the glasses. She was very nice explaining the special dishes of the evening and told us one of the specials was Lamb chops and scallops. He ordered that and I ordered the Gyro plate. The scallops were great but the chops were way overcooked as they were more done then he asked for. Further more, when we got the bill, the price of that dish was $56.00 or $58.00, cant remember. When we were leaving there were several people coming in so we had to wait at the front to exit. I noticed the board at the entrance with the specials and his dish was not on it? Just curious how thats posible ? It took us both by surprise because the price was never mentioned to us.Over all we were happy but slightly disspointed with the server, trying so hard to sell the bottle of wine and a very pricey dish which was not cooked how we asked...

OMG Kosta is somewhat a dump from the outside...but a surprise on the inside..where to start. .ok appetizers. .A must have Saganaki and the eggplant dip..freaken AMAZING. ..Have camera ready for pic and Opa!!..or video..The pita bread for the dip..Uuuummmaaazing..I was kinda full for my entrée the Gyro plate..which was so filling only had room for two bites...what made the Gyro so delicious was the sauce...cause had to try the Baklava for dessert...which was the bomb..my friend had the shrimp...that was so dang good...and my other friend had the sampler..which I tasted and all...but so full..portions are plenty. I Will have to say this place blew it out of the water..I'm 51 years old and never had such good Greek food in all my life. ..we paid $80 for all three of us but could have had one more...had a huge doggy back..didn't care for the green beans but potatoes were good..and rice yummy...so you see I ate a lot...please try it but go with just the appetizers first before you order entree..lol..I will be a regular so...
