We have been visiting this establishment for years on sunday nights after mass with my in-laws. Tonight I was extremely offended and am still so upset I can not sleep so I am writing this review at 11:30 at night. After finishing a very nice meal with a great waiter and what I am sure was a very large bill and tip, we were just about ready to leave not realizing its 10:13 (yes I looked) and they close at 10 and all the sudden this shorter round women with short hair, obviously not working there at the time and I think had been sitting at the bar, comes up and says "I dont know if you guys know this but we are now closed so..." So we politley apologize and get up to leave. Then 2 seconds later at the front door there were a few people standing there so my husband who had heard the owner went to Jesuit askes the the few people "did someone here go to Jesuit because me and my father went there what year did they go?" but before he can even finish his sentence the same aggressive women hears the word Jesuit and VERY rudly blurts out " ya ya so did we just keep going!" While gesturing us out the door!! I was so shocked! Then a younger women maybe her daughter I think saw her being rude (and maybe a little drunk) jumped in and had a few polite words with my husband and his Father about the school. Which made me feel better but during the 30sec conversation with obviously family of the owners the troll lady walks around us and opens the door and says somthing else about It being Sunday night and us needing to leave so they all could go home. This did not reflect on the behavior of anyone else that was actually waiting on us or talking to us and I honestly think she had been drinking a bit to much. I hope she is a crazy customer that they sweetly induldge and she doesnt actully work there during the day as I have never seen her on a sunday night before. Anyway my husband was so hurt, and I was honestly a little shaken after such aggressive behavior at a restraunt we felt like was apart of our family after all these years. My father in-law loves this restraunt and we have supported it for years, now I am not so sure we...
Read moreFirst and last time we visit here. We ordered meals for our family of four to go. When I ordered by phone I was told 25 minutes, which is exactly when we arrived to pick it up. I entered through the second entrance because I didn't want to valet for a takeout order, and parked in one of the many open spots on the second row. As me and my son were getting out of our car, the valet guy came over and said "You can't park here, move to the back of the building" - I said we were just there for a to-go order and he said "Yeah, but I have to park here". So that's how our experience began. I moved to the back of the building which was a tight, bumpy parking area. When we got inside I waited at the bar as I'd been told to do over the phone. There were 4 people at the bar, the restaurant about half full of customers (not busy). The bartender seemed frantic, and did not even acknowledge us at all. About 10 minutes later, I asked the host how I could pick up my to go order, and he said to get the bartenders attention. At this point, the bartender had left the bar for a few minutes so I kept waiting. About 10 minutes later, the host came back to me and asked for my name, and said the manager would go get our food. About 5 minutes later, (who I assume to be) the manager brought us our bag of food and our check, and again we waited for the bartender and finally paid. After waiting 20 minutes and receiving terrible service from two different employees, we got home (5 minutes from the restaurant) to open our bag of extremely disappointing food. One order was wrong, missing items. One order was cold and looked like it had been frozen and microwaved, and the rest of the food was mediocre at best. We got two items we didn't order, which I believe I paid for. It was disgusting. The salad had brown, soggy lettuce. The pasta was disappointing. The bread was stale and chewy. We threw away more than half of the "food". Overpriced, terrible food,...
Read moreThe Prego Valet attendant flew two middle fingers at me. Read on to see the situation. Respect is a huge component when I review a business. Carelessly hiring rude and disrespectful employees that reflect negatively on your establishment are highly detrimental.
Prego has a Starbuck’s drive through exit lane immediately along side it’s building. The lane is narrow and only can accommodate people, in single file, exiting the Starbuck’s drive through which is why there are the words “One Way – Do Not Enter” painted in bright red letters on the drive through exit (see attached pictures).
As I pulled away from the Starbuck’s window, I had already come to a stop right at the edge of Greenville waiting for traffic to clear. At that point, a driver decides to pull up right on top of my front bumper at the “Do Not Enter” letters. At this point, I had nowhere to go because of being boxed in by the cars behind me. The valet attendant comes over and continues to wave the vehicle on in (see attached picture) right on top of my bumper. He easily could have motioned for the driver to go the additional 12 feet to the proper entrance to Prego restaurant. I was only able to back up by several inches and the attendant continued to direct the oblivious driver to come dangerously close to my bumper. After the vehicle had cleared, I immediately exited Starbuck’s and noticed that the valet attendant yelled and flew two middle fingers high in the air (see the picture attached).
Not very smart considering how many people have dash cams these days. I was able to capture the full video and pictures from my front and rear dash cams. Behavior like this scores an establishment an immediate failing grade. Follow the rules, treat people with respect. Accountability will be dealt...
