Been thinking about getting IV nutrition therapy for a while especially with the so many ups and downs of the past six months. After reading about IV nutrition on the Dallas Observer newsletter and checking out their website I decided to save up and give them a try!
I went yesterday and unfortunately could not find them and was running late for my appointment. They were so nice about it and haplily gave me better directions than my GPS did! I arrived, filled out paperwork, and was treated to some amazing lemon ginger tea. I then spoke with one of their very kind staff members, Nate, that spoke with me about what was going on and hooked up my IV. They try to use the smallest needles possible, which is great for me because I have small and rolling veins. He mixed me up a cocktail of vitamin C along with some extras to help with relaxation and mood stabilization. For about an hour the yellow stained Gatorade dripped into my veins as I went in and out of the nap zone. Their space is very tranquil with several leg lifting chairs facing a peach salt rub wall.
I am still not 100% convinced that it worked for me, I did feel a little relaxed during and after, but it has been less than 24 hours, so we will have to see! It would be great if they were able to take your vitamin levels ahead of time and tell you what you were deficient in and base your therapy off of that. However, I do love their customer service and the atmosphere. They make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in the door and there is not pressure to buy or add anything that you did not come in for. I may try it again at the end of this month to see if I experience any...
Read moreTLDR: I highly recommend this place for those who are hard sticks and have health issues! Israel (Izzy), Taylor, Brynn, Lisa, and others have been incredible!!
Full review: I’ve had to get IVs multiple times a week for almost 20 years due to major damage to my autonomic nervous system from severe, neurological Lyme disease. My body isn’t able to regulate my blood volume level or hydration/electrolytes. So I end up in the ICU easily.
So I’m not an easy stick and outside of the hospital who has the IV teams (professionals at getting the hard sticks), I often have to get stuck 4-9 times to get the IVs in.
But today, Izzy used a vein finder on me and was so kind, patient, and easygoing (in the best way) and got it in so easily! No one has ever done that, and my veins are visibly scarred to prove it. Grateful!
Taylor and Brynn have also been incredible! So kind and so supportive. They checked in on me often. :)
Lisa was also very personable and great!
I feel safe here, which after literal medical abuse in hospitals, is a rare thing for me. So thank you SO MUCH!!! :)
Please, please give these people raises. It’s so tough working in the medical profession. And it’s so tough being so sick. So I really appreciate that these people are so kind AND good!...
Read moreI had such a great experience at IV Nutrition! From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, professional, and made me feel completely comfortable. The entire team is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cares about their patients’ well-being. A special shout-out to Nurse Maria Myers — she was absolutely amazing! She took the time to ask all the right questions about my health, how I was feeling, and what my goals were before starting the treatment. Her attention to detail and caring attitude really stood out. You can tell she truly knows her stuff and loves what she does. If you’re thinking about trying IV therapy, I highly recommend this place — and definitely ask for Maria Myers if you get the chance. She made my visit relaxing, safe, and overall an incredible experience. Keep in mind I had been sick for the past week and this what they recommended.
