At exactly 2:00 p.m. today, destiny tapped me on the shoulder and whispered, “Prepare yourself.” What followed was not lunch, but a full scale spiritual awakening disguised as a plate of cochinita pibil. I was the only soul in the restaurant, but make no mistake, this was no ordinary meal. This was a private audience with the culinary gods of the Yucatán. Presiding over the temple was a man (likely the owner) whose passion radiated so brightly I half expected doves to descend from the ceiling and form a halo around him. He brought me not one, not two, but three sauces. Three sauces that deserve their own Hallmark mini series. As he described which sauce paired best with my dish, it was as if Socrates himself had descended to hand me the keys to eternal truth. He was not just serving food, he was conducting a symphony where every note was edible. The cochinita pibil arrived, and time slowed. Fork met plate, plate met soul, and suddenly my taste buds were riding bareback on a flaming meteor hurtling toward the sun. Each bite whispered secrets of the universe. The love this man poured into his craft was baked into every shred of pork, woven into every hint of citrus and spice. If hugs could be eaten, this dish was one. And those sauces... I tried all three like a fool chasing immortality, and somehow I found it. They were not condiments or garnishes, they were portals deserving to be studied in laboratories. They should be guarded in museums. They should be sung about in ballads by wandering troubadours until the end of time. I left the restaurant transformed, possibly glowing. Do not ask me if I will return... I may never actually leave. This is not a five star restaurant. This is a black hole that devours the concept of “stars” altogether, then spits them back out onto your plate in shredded pork form. If you’re still reading this review instead of sprinting to the car and speeding here with reckless abandon, I can only assume you hate joy. But make sure it's before 3:00 p.m.. because they're only open for breakfast and lunch. This much greatness must be bridled. You'll see what I mean

Kukulcan was the food highlight of our stay in Dallas and by far the best meal of the trip. I ordered the chilaquiles with mix of red and green sauce (green was my favorite) with steak and very well done eggs. My husband ordered the cochinita pibil and we both stopped just short of licking our plates clean. So so authentic and the best chilaquiles I've ever had. Homemade hot sauces were a treat, and the refried beans were creamy and amazing. It is definitely worth a stop and navigating the very busy consulate parking lot. Amazing friendly service and don't miss the fresh juices!

Considering that this is what you would call as a “tourist trap” due to it being one of the only restaurants right next to the Mexican Consulate. I was very surprised of the quality, variety, and service of this place. We ordered a simple breakfast. A beef torta, the meat was soft and with good flavor. Tasted more like a burger than a torta but still delicious. And the chilaquiles where phenomenal as a crunchy fried tortilla enjoyer. Not like those soggy tortilla chilaquiles other restaurants serve. The champurrado was not bad but could be better. The service could be faster.

The food is amazing!!! The service is always impecable, if you come the chilaquiles is a must, best chilaquiles ever! I recommend the Kukulcan Chilaquiles with not only egg, but chicken!! Actually you can’t go wrong with what you order, but my go to has been the chilaquiles! The tortas are my second favorite, because the fries are delicious they top them with a seasoning that just adds even more flavor that no ketchup is needed they taste good on their own. Also, don’t forget to order an agua fresca they make it great everyday and a new one every week. You don’t want to miss out, it has amazing food and...
