I had two tacos and a water, a little pricey. But the unique tacos options were worth the try. My cousin invited me because he say the review on diners, drive-ins, and dives with the Guy Fiore(hope I spelled that right 🥴) I ordered a salmon flank taco that was coated - fried crispy on the outside stuffed with hot stringy cheese on the inside. Can’t remember the other taco but both were freshly made, very hot, and arrived in a decent wait time. The owner/chef was there having a meeting with another gentleman - sounding like he was cooking up some new great ideas in the corner. They were ordering dish after dish and everything looked amazing each time a new plate arrived. I asked the friendly cashier what the items were and she explained a few. One was a tostada that I have to try in the next visit. I had to pay at the counter as I ordered. Not a big deal. I did Notice, however another couple in front of the restaurant. (We were the only patrons there at noon by the way) who had been there before I arrived had enjoyed a few dishes and drinks, but paid AFTER they ate. I assumed they had to be friends or family - nicely dressed couple. I was pretty nicely dressed too (but my cousin didn’t make it to his lunch treat - womp womp) all in all, glad he introduced me to this spot. I’ll try one or two more things, the sauce made the flavor come alive, otherwise the flavor was really light...
Read moreSaw a news story about this restaurant this very morning and we had to try them for lunch. I will say, I paid a bit more than I like to for a total of 6 tacos(4 street/2 artisan) a order or chips and salsa and 2 aguas frescas(The other one besides the Jamaica, was the bomb. Jamaica was good but the other one better). It was about $49 with tip. If the saying, “you get what you pay for”, is true, then I got just that! From the drinks, to the tacos, the meat, the tortillas, the 3 salsas, were all delicious. My favorite salsa was the mango-habanero. The perfect amount of heat, with a sweet tangy taste at the end. We tried the barbacoa, carne asada, Tierra y mar tacos. From the shrimp, to what appears to be chimichurrri sauce on the Tierra y mar tacos, every bite told a very flavorful story. The barbacoa was very flavorful, the carne asada delicious and tender. My wife and I definitely will return to try more of their menu items and to try those margaritas as well. I recommend this place 100! Oh, and the staff was awesome as well, and you can’t forget them, because they are the ones who put your food together and bring it to you. Try at least once, but I’m going to bet, you’ll come...
