So Icy — Restaurant in Dallas

This was our first time trying water ice, and oooh my gosh, what an experience!! We purposefully didn’t order dessert after dinner just so we could try this place out! The customer service was outstanding. The employee was so sweet. She offered to let us sample flavors before ordering. I got a small Tropical Rainbow and Passion Fruit, and topped mine with sour watermelon gummies. My husband ordered Strawberry Lemonade and topped his with créeme. It. Was. Delicious!! It was so flavorful and the consistency of it was perfect! I don’t know how the do it- loaded with flavor but still so light and refreshing!! They have outside tables and benches available for seating and it’s decorated with string lights that are lit up at night and it just really makes for the perfect ambiance. I cannot believe that this place is just hiding in a corner of a parking lot at Trinity Groves! Definitely a must try if you’re ever in the area! We will definitely be back, and will be recommending this place to everyone we know!

I will add- I did win a date night giveaway with them and it was seriously the most perfect night. Because of them, it brought me and my husband down to an area we most likely wouldn’t have picked for date night (only because it’s a little far for us and we have two littles at home), and we got to try out and experience some new restaurants and a fun arcade, all while being transported to and from in style! First-timer here! This hidden gem has been popping up in advertisements all over Instagram, so my girlfriend and I decided to give it a try.

It’s a shaved ice shed! Located on a corner in a parking lot across from a gas station, there was no long wait. The young man working there was very helpful and friendly, even giving us free samples of flavors we were interested in.

I opted for a regular size with mango and pineapple flavors topped with Tajin—a bit different for me. I didn’t really need the Tajin, but it wasn’t bad either. The combination of mango and pineapple was top-tier and perfect for a hot, sunny day outing!

Overall, I’d rate it 10 out of 10 and highly recommend it! I’ll definitely be returning, especially since they have a punch card system, which I absolutely love. Thank you, So Icy, for bringing this...

I have been visiting the location regularly. I always go early so that I can be the first person in line due to the heat. I went today and had a co-worker with me and we made it 25 minutes early. Usually around 10 minutes til 2, I will see someone working outside. We checked the Instagram and no notification prior to coming. About 10 minutes to opening a post appeared that So Icy will be close today. I am so over it. So Icy is alright, due to the fact it is hot in Texas and any ice is good.
