I came in this location around 8 pm Was told that menu has to be scanned with your cellphone So I tried It never worked so waiter brought a paper menu an everything on it was reasonably priced so I ordered a large delicious soup and was awesome and ordered a margerita Assuming that they're reasonable like the food menu but noticed the price wasn't on the menu and knowing that my phone can't scan the menu...the waiter never informed me of the price for margerita and I got another one thinking that it's $6 to $12 each I did ask an was told $14 dollars But then when I was given the bill ... The meal comes with chips an hot sauce an I was charged $20.00 which wasn't what menu says ....The paper menu said $12.99 for the bowl of soup The 2 margaritas were were additional an I was $46 .00 dollars !!!! They refused to make this right an lied about what happened an refused to show me the actual price of the margaritas I feel like they price gouged me knowing that if they showed me the actual price that they would illegally making me pay money for something I didn't order or pay for the item I ordered more than the menu price that's a lesser price so I called the evening shift by phone an talked to a waitress on the same evening shift and she told me that the margaritas drinks were $14 each which means I should've only been charged $28 but they charged me $46 !! An told me I was wrong cause that's what I ordered but refused to upload the menu for the margaritas !! Don't pay with cash here an definitely Don't put your card on a tab and Don't recommend this restaurant cause of their untrustworthy manager and waiter who refused to correct the price after I in good faith paid the bill before I realized the amount was higher than it should've been I recommend they replace the manager an waiter and provide menu prices to every customer that comes in an I will erase my experience from this review Otherwise atmosphere and food and drinks...
Read moreI had been wanting to try this place for quite some time and finally got the opportunity to do so this past Saturday. It's a pretty big restaurant with plenty of patio seating and indoor seating but they also had a 45 minute wait list. Luckily we were able to get the last two seats at the bar. But if you do have to have to wait they have a bar located next to the hostess stand. It was pretty busy and the bartender, Eric, was making the waiter's and waitress' drinks and was moving very efficiently. We got our waters, viewed the menu, and were brought chips and dips. One dip was a salsa and the other was a bean cheese dip, which I think should be served warm. Both were good. I already knew I wanted a liquid nitrogen margarita, that was my whole purpose for going lol. I ordered a mango liquid nitrogen margarita and my sister ordered a sangria. There's a whole presentation that goes into the making of the margarita and it had my full attention. After our drinks we ordered tableside guacamole and I ordered the vegan picadillo tacos with regular cheese and my sister ordered the vegan fajitas. I enjoyed my margarita. The gucamole could've used some salt and pepper but the spiciness level was good. I enjoyed my tacos, but would have preferred less cabbage. The cabbage was dry and didn't really do anything for me. That vegan picadillo was seasoned very well and super tasty chef's kiss I would legit go back and ordered some of that by itself. The black beans were too hot for me to enjoy without burning my mouth but once I did have them they could've used a little more seasoning. My sister enjoyed her fajitas and said the sangria was good. We also ended up getting a drink to go so that we could walk around the art park. We enjoyed Eric's company. He made great drinks and he was pleasant to be around. Beto's is definitely an experience that you should try if you're in the area. I do recommend making a...
Read moreThis past weekend took my Bambina in for some dinner & drinks! We showed up around 7pm and put our name on the waiting list. We were told 2 hour wait for a table, which seemed a little long, but decided we’d go to the bar in the meantime to have a drink. Hoping that if 2 spots became available we’d just sit up there & eat instead of waiting the 2 hours for a table as quoted at the host stand!
The bar was busy and full of ENERGY! We were greeted promptly and each got a drink in a timely fashion, considering how busy the bar was! Shortly after the drinks were made & served 2 open seats became available at the bar so we decided to sit and dine there with the bartenders! Both bartenders were very polite, happy to be working, and knew their drinks/bottles very well!
After we received chips, salsa, and a fabulous bean/hummus dip, all provided complimentary btw, we decided to get some queso blanco to start with as an appetizer! It was at that time I received a text message saying that our table was available to be sat and to come to the host stand, it had only been 25 minutes and not the 2 hours they had quoted originally. We saw numerous people walk off due to the wait time the host staff has told them. So who knows how much business/sales they’re losing by WAY OVER QUOTING wait times!
We decided to forgo the table and just eat at the bar, due to friendliness/energy from the bartenders, they were great! We had stacked chicken sour cream enchiladas, they were solid, as well as Tacos Al Pastor, they were good, not great but pretty good.
Only reason I don’t give Beto 5 stars is due to the HUGE OVER QUOTE for wait time that we were told at the start, had we walked off and eaten elsewhere we wouldn’t have gotten to enjoy the bar/drinks/food there at Beto & Son. Glad we decided to stay & we will return, kudos to the bar staff once again for a...
