My review is based SOLELY on the service, I recieved or did not receive. I have not had the opportunity to taste the product yet. I am having dinner with friends this evening and I was looking for a thank you gift. I looked all over a chocolate store and I was very impressed with the website and the positive reviews. Everyone spoke so highly of the candy and the customer service. I however walked in the store this Saturday afternoon and was barely greeted. This being my 1st time I really just wanted to look at the display, but the associate rushed me, asking me questions. She told me the most popular ones and then I felt rushed to make a decision on the other ones I chose. She was hardly friendly. It was very offputting. There were some cut up pieces next to the register, that she looked like she would rather I not touch, but I did. I normally would not hv given my money to an establishment, where I felt even an iota of prejudice, but against my better judgment I did. I read plenty of reviews and prejudice was never mentioned, so I'm chalking it up to the dark hair girl, just being rude as hell. They are just the right size for a sweet treat reward and come in a wide variety of offerings. They are also constantly putting out new offerings to love. We recently did a chocolate making class at this location with executive chef Alex. It was a lot of fun and we learned so much (and got to take home a lot of chocolate). We hope they offer more classes in the future because we will definitely be there. We also attended the 11 year anniversary event which was a ton of fun. The Dubai chocolate cups were a treat as were the golden tickets. The line outside was a bit long so Kate herself came out to drink chocolate samples and frozen chocolate drinks. After eagerly anticipating the first bite, I was immediately taken aback by its taste, which was far from what I expected. It strangely reminded me of dog food, prompting me to return to the store for a possible refund or exchange.
Upon my return, the associate consulted with the manager, Madison, who unfortunately informed us that nothing could be done about the situation. Instead of resolving the issue on the spot, the clerk handed me a card for Olivia, the Regional Retail Sales Manager, suggesting I take my complaint to her.
