The staff acted like they couldn’t care less that we were there — no greeting, no smile, nothing. Just attitude. They were rude, dismissive, and flat-out unprofessional.
But the worst part? We literally heard the staff talking about us behind the counter — laughing and whispering like we were some kind of joke. Seriously? You’re supposed to be working in hospitality, not acting like immature high schoolers. It was uncomfortable, embarrassing, and honestly made us want to walk out right then and there.
As for the food — don’t even get me started. It was flavorless, boring, and felt slapped together without the slightest effort. For what they charge, it was a complete ripoff. I’ve had better meals at a gas station, no joke. Bottom line: This place is all attitude and no quality. Rude staff, terrible service, and food that’s not even worth half the price. Never again. Save your time and money — go somewhere that actually respects its customers. The final bill was $68.20, and I asked to speak to a manager because of how bad everything was. I had to wait 20 minutes just for him to “find the ticket” — which honestly felt like an excuse to stall. When he finally came over, he casually said he could give me $25.00 back — that’s it. No real apology, no accountability, just a partial refund like that would somehow make it okay. That left me still paying $43.20 for a miserable experience. This place is completely disorganized, overpriced, and clearly doesn’t care about its customers. Between the staff’s behavior, the lack of professionalism, and the manager’s weak attempt at fixing the issue, it’s honestly laughable.Never coming back. Don’t waste your time or money here. Then I get the bill — $68.20 — which they charged my card in full. I asked for a manager because the service and the food were unacceptable, and after waiting over 20 minutes, some young, unprofessional manager finally came over. Not only did he act like he didn’t care at all, he couldn’t even explain what was going on. He made no effort to resolve the issue properly, didn’t take anything seriously, and basically just threw out, “We can give you $25 back.” That’s it.So now I’m still stuck paying $43.20 for a horrible experience I never should have had in the first place. They charged me fully and made me fight just to get that partial refund. What kind of business operates like this? This place is a joke. They don’t care about customers, they don’t know how to run a restaurant, and the way they handled this situation was beyond frustrating. Do yourself a favor and stay far away...
Read moreMy recent visit to Pizzana on Knox St in Dallas left much to be desired. Despite the restaurant's promising reputation, the overall experience fell short of expectations, marred by lackluster food and subpar service.
While the ambiance of Pizzana exudes a trendy, modern vibe, it's unfortunate that the same level of excellence doesn't extend to the food. The pizzas, touted as the highlight of the menu, failed to impress. Lacking the distinctive flavors and artisanal quality I had anticipated, they tasted rather ordinary and uninspired.
Equally disappointing was the level of service. While not outright rude, the staff seemed indifferent and inattentive, failing to provide the warm hospitality one would expect from a dining establishment of this caliber. It's disheartening when a restaurant falls short in delivering on the promise of a memorable dining experience.
To add insult to injury, the pricing at Pizzana left much to be desired. Being charged an exorbitant $20 for four sodas, particularly when dining with children, felt unjustifiable and frankly, outrageous. Such pricing practices detract from the overall value proposition of the restaurant and leave a sour taste in the mouths of patrons.
In conclusion, while Pizzana on Knox St may have potential, my experience was far from satisfactory. With underwhelming food, lackluster service, and questionable pricing, it's difficult to recommend this establishment to fellow diners. Hopefully, improvements will be made to elevate the dining experience and justify a return visit...

I’m disappointed to report that the pizza on this occasion was sub-par. The crust could not hold the toppings, which tells me there was a breakdown in the dough’s rising process. The ricotta cheese was flavorless. In fact, the entire pizza was just forgettable. The Caesar salad was good but overly saturated with dressing. The panna cotta itself was excellent but the pretzels on the topping were stuck together forming overly large pieces that were impenetrable to split with the tiny spoon you’re supposed to use. The service was very good and the atmosphere is still very pleasant. I’m going to be 50/50 the next time we consider Pizzana.
Review from 2 years ago:
Craving unique pizza creations? We recently visited Pizzana and tried the Cacio E Pepe pizza-tastes just like the pasta dish! The panna cotta was sublime. The entire experience was excellent with one very small exception-the apple crisp dessert was a little light on the ice cream. We told our waitperson and she promptly served up more ice cream. The manager came over to get our feedback and genuinely listened to our opinion. 5-star food and 5-star treatment!
It’s refreshing to have great food, excellent service, and be able to give constructive criticism without fear of retribution from the owners (which we experienced at a nearby restaurant named Chelsea Corner who contacted my wife’s employer after she posted a review). We highly...
