This place was an overall disappointment. From the customer service to the food on our table.
We had reservations on a Saturday at 4:45 did not get seated until 5:00. The hostess and 3 other people were huddled around the iPad. They seemed like they were trying to figure something out...as if they had no seats available (there were plenty of seats available. I don’t see or understand how this place appears to be booked on Open Table). We were seated in the back in an awkward area. It was one long booth the shape of a C with 3 tables inside of the C (if that makes sense) A couple was seated on the opposite end which I thought was awkward because we were pretty much sitting in front of one another....Eating.
No one came to our table until 5:15. I even told one of the employees that no one had came to our table to take our drink orders & it still took awhile for someone to come. This place was definitely not under staffed btw. I also have to mention there was a party of 12 near us and they had about 5 servers at their table! Still not understaffed because I saw a bunch of employees walking around. Finally at 5:15 a waiter came and got our drink order. She let us know that she would be our server “for the time being”. After we finally got our drinks a group of 3 people were seated next to us (mind you this is a long seated booth, very tight space) as they were being seated literally right beside us a server had their waters right behind them!
Our food finally came out. An employee who was not a waiter (I am guessing she was a manager or something) was about to walk by our table but stopped to ask the table next to us how their food was and said very friendly, “Oh I’ll come back and check on you all after you had a bite!” (in a very friendly, kind, welcoming voice) Then proceeded to walk halfway past us before acknowledging us, but because we were looking at her..she felt OBLIGATED to ask us how our food was. So she asked in a quick careless voice, “Hows your food.” “Oh, it’s good.” We replied and she just walked off not saying anything else.
We definitely felt like we did not receive the service others received. We felt we were not treated equally. They made us feel very unwelcomed.
The food was mediocre. Definitely over priced. Will not be coming back & would not recommend this place to...
Read moreOur family traveled to Dallas from San Antonio to celebrate a birthday. We wanted to experience something nice, which when you see pics the ambience is amazing. We were a party of 8 but unfortunately we made a reservation for 6 so 2 members in our family arrived a few minutes later than we did. Our family table of 2 was set down and their order was taken right away, but our waitress at first seemed nice took quite some time to take ours. When she finally took our order I don't believe she submitted right away so we had to wait again. The appetizers were probably the only good things. When we finally received our order the overpriced food was cold. We didn't complain because at this point we were hungry and by then the waitress seemed annoyed with our party. When we received our checks we saw a charge for milk, so we asked if we could get it removed and the waitress said rudely "sure I'll remove that dollar", yes I understand it's a dollar but it's the principle of being charged for something we did not order. We had separate checks but one was not processed, so we brought that to her attention and then we had to wait again.
After we decided to stroll through the place to try to make the most by taking pictures in such a beautiful place since that's really all they had going on. We started to take pictures as there is nothing posted about not taking any or flash photography. The staff proceeded to tell us we couldn't use the flash and they didn't allow digital cameras (we had a small handheld camera), I'm like what are we at the Louvre museum? Which is quite strange because our cell phones are digital and that was allowed. Anyhow that ruined our whole experience so we walked out. We will never go back there that area is real snooty I'm not sure because we are of Hispanic decent but never again. We tried to not let that experience damper our trip but I would not recommend this place. The waitress did ask to give them a good Google review, yea that wasn't...
Read moreTLDR, too expensive for such bad service. This place is the definition of a social media spot. I was very surprised at how busy and how expensive everything was based on the actual experience of eating there. When you think of fancy three dollar sign restaurants you expect a level of attentiveness and quality that this place just can't provide. First we had to wait thirty minutes for our reservation which is not too crazy except there's no waiting area and no system to alert you when your table is ready. So everyone just starts to crowd around the hostess kiosk and block the pathway of the servers and the arriving guests. The freaking hostess doesn't even direct you to some place to stand. They just pretend you aren't standing three feet to the left of them while getting asked every two seconds to move over so a poor server can carry six glasses and plates over their head to try and make room. It's pathetic, it's something you solve on your first day open. Like how do they not realize it's a problem. Then after being sat we had to wait for quite a while to be asked for our orders. RH breaks the cardinal dinning sin of waiting for us to be done with our appetizers before they took our entree order. We just ended up sitting there waiting for twenty to thirty minutes with nothing in front of us for our food to be ready. Even chilli's has this down, if you expect it to be a long wait for the food to be prepared then you just get both orders up front and bring them out as they are ready. If our meals hadn't been so expensive then it wouldn't really be an issue but you can pay several hundred dollars for a lackluster, let alone flat out bad dining experience. This place just doesn't understand fine dining. The music was completely inappropriate for the atmosphere, and the menu was pretty uninspired. I would only recommend this place as an example of everything not to do in...
