I’ve now tried twice to order from Pollo Campero, and unfortunately, both experiences were frustrating and unsuccessful.
First visit: I placed my order at the drive-thru with a gentleman who took my order, then waited about 25 minutes in line. When I finally got to the window, I expected to just pay and pick up my food. Instead, the employee at the window had no idea what I had ordered and asked me to repeat it. Unfortunately, I was on an important business call at that point and couldn’t stop to re-explain everything. After such a long wait and confusion, I had to just leave without getting my food.
Second visit: I tried again, thinking maybe the first time was just bad luck. I asked for the four-piece meal, which I believe includes a breast, wing, leg, and thigh. The person taking my order didn’t seem to understand what I was saying. She kept repeating, “leg and thigh?” even after I clarified multiple times that I wanted the four-piece meal. It felt like we were going in circles. Eventually, I just gave up and drove off again without ordering.
I don’t want to sound harsh, but there is clearly a language barrier at this location that’s making the drive-thru process really difficult. Communication is essential in customer service, especially in fast food, and when it’s not working, it leads to repeated mistakes and lost business. I was genuinely excited to try the food, but after two failed attempts, I’m not sure I’ll be back.

Read moreI hate to give 3 stars, but a worker didn’t make the experience so pleasant. The cashier name Cinthia had an attitude, she was rude with us. It seems she didn’t like me for no reason and then she was happy and kind with MEN. It was the first time we go there and her attitude was just rude. Another lady the server I think her name is Mayda or Mayra she was so great. Very kind, nice and attentive. She brought our food fast and she kept asking us if we needed something. She definitely needs to be the cashier, because the cashier they had at that time it’s completely rude. Thanks Mayda for being so nice, I guess you compensate the rudeness from your coworker from kindness. We will come back, but if the cashier treats me like that again I will have to say something because that’s not ok. I guess $60 you spend is nothing because she acted like we were spending $5 She didn’t even give me the cups I asked for and when my son went to get to go boxes she ignored him. Most flavor ive had in a while with fried chicken this was my first time trying it and I was blown away with how each bite was exceeding my expectations. I was expecting it to be great. Seems like a great brand with many locations and you dont go that far without serving up something special. But this was by far the best fried chicken ive had from any fast food joint.
