Stopped in at the NEW Bueno on Forest and Central today around 1pm....ordered a number 4 combo from a nice kid on the register. Received a number 5 combo...realized it before taking it off the counter and told him it was not a number 4.....no problem we will make a number 4 He brings out the new order and it was 4 tacos not what I ordered. Decided to give up and eat the tacos...He came by again and I told him it was not a #4 but its ok.....Then here comes the "manager" a hispanic lady who was not having any of this from a customer. Said I only ordered one meal not two. Huh??? Tried to tell her it was not what I ordered and she just turned her back and walked away. After eating and seeing who I thought might be another manager on the way out I ask if he was a manager. Not being one here comes the "manager" and jumped all over me about eating an order and wanting more or something like that and again turned her back and walked off telling a worker to give me a quesadilla which she tried to do. She as well was a nice employee and I told her I did not want it but was trying to tell the "manager" what the problem was. I could tell by her and the kid on the register that they were shocked at the managers actions. If you have a new location and are trying to build business then have someone in charge that knows how to treat and solve problems. Poor kid on the register is getting a bad lesson in customer service that hopefully he can shake off for his next job. First and Last time here. Have to go to Central and...
Read moreTalk about getting your food thrown into the bag! It looks like it had to go through a marvel fight scene before it got to me! I ordered the beef Wholotta Platter with a normal side of chips and guac and the beef chilida is very flavorful, perfectly spiced, the guacamole is also very tasty and has a strong cilantro taste and I LOVE cilantro, the chips are nice and crunchy, the refried beans are eh, looking a little over cooked, the rice is good, has that perfect amount of spice, the beef muchaco looks like it was abused in the packaging and also tastes eh, and finally the crunchy taco is REALLY good, even more flavor than anything else in this order, very satisfying, savory and delicious. I'm very thankful they loaded me up with their fire roasted salsa, the salsa is probably the best I've ever tried from a fast food Tex-mex restaurant, almost good enough to qualify as authentic (and being Hispanic I'm picky about my Mexican food.) The guy in the drive thru sadly looked stressed, sounded tired and kinda like he was done with everything, but he was very chill, I mean, what worker isn't tired all the time nowadays? All in all if you want Tex-Mex and want to dine like a king for a night, come to this establishment, I got so much food for under $20, it may not look pretty, but like in life, it's the personality that matters the most; don't judge this book...
Read moreI stop here to eat at Taco Bueno when I have Doctor visits to go to at Medical City. I love their food and I love their buffet for condiments. There's a choice of green and red hot sauces, onions, jalapenos, etc. I'm usually very satisfied with my purchases. Once I got a bean and cheese burrito @ the tortilla was over baked and crisp. I should have asserted myself and asked for a replacement. The workers there are so nice and curtios. I'm positive they would have accommodated me ny giving me another burrito. If there's ever a next time (and I doubt there will be) I will assert myself. Their platters and all of their food is really good and so is their service. With the fresh cilantro, tomatos, sauces, etc., you can make a $1.61 bean and cheese burrito in to a filling meal. Tight on money? You can eat good, cheap food here. AND I noticed electrical sockets that you can use to charge your cell phone...another perk of eating at...
