I originally called to ask if the new Crunch location would have a belt squat machine. Instead, I got hit with a sales pitch. The rep pushed me to sign up even though the gym wasn’t open. The deal was $1 to join, first month free, $20 a month after. I’ve worked in gyms, so I know activation fees aren’t real fees and can easily waived. Still, I signed up thinking I could cancel if needed.
I called back soon after to cancel. That’s when the runaround started. I called multiple times. No one helped. No follow-up. No email from Crunch or ABC Financial confirming cancellation.
They make it easy to join, nearly impossible to leave. Once I get my refund, I’m done. I’ll also be filing a complaint. Don’t waste your time. Or at least wait until the gym...
