Today was not the situation I usually refrain from giving any restaurant, even fast food restaurants a one star review. This place deserves it whenever a employee talks to the customer this way they don't care. I wanted to experience the new barbecue 🐔 chicken sandwich they had on the menu. The one that has cheese and bacon on it. I was willing to pay $6.49. I advise the lady that was taking my order I just wanted the sandwich only. I didn't want the combo meal just the sandwich only. (Look at the pictures for the example) Somehow in her mind she took it as I just wanted the sandwich with no cheese and bacon or the barbecue sauce on it just a regular classic sandwich. As you can see in the picture she charged me for it but since there is no itemization of how much she charge. She said well you only pay $4.99 because you only wanted a chicken sandwich. Please make this make sense. Then she got rude and aggressive with me. Now already she was charging me 0.27 cents for extra sauce which I gave her a dollar and asked her to load me up on it. You now got a customer that's going out his way to pay your establishment more money for better service and access to your food and you got a problem with it. Once again I usually refrain from giving anybody one star review but this person just doesn't care. She is a direct representative of the actual food establishment. If anyone else sees this review and has the same issues please take pictures Please leave reviews, because this stuff has to be documented. Whenever you see something like this anywhere. 😥

Read moreA vast majority of clients who patronize Popeyes will not notice the downfalls of the way most locations operate due to non motivated staff members and managers. Popeyes, like most other fried chicken places, still has a hard time finding the right people to hire that actually care about following procedures and being efficient. Sadly, this is true, even though they offer competitive starting hourly pay. What must happen is that Popeyes hires managers who are truly right for the job because they were hired from within, or have various previous restaurant experience. Such qualified managers should have already had a criminal background check done before Popeyes hires them. After that, then hire the right staff members to be team leaders, new hire and experienced staff members who also are checked out for any criminal history before hiring them. This is a lot easier said than done. I AM FED UP WITH HOW MOST POPEYES LOCATIONS ARE SO LAZY AND SHORT HANDED THAT THEIR DINING ROOM IS CLOSED, SO I HAVE TO USE THE DRIVE THRU ONLY AND TAKE THE ORDER TO GO!! Even if the food is freshly made as can possibly be done, it will not be very good once I get it back to the workplace or home to enjoy it. I only dine in by preference for this reason. In general, most locations just are not run very well as most customers don't seem to know what good service and good food should be. Most staff workers will just get mad and walk out if they are given the slightest amount of constructive criticism; this may be why a lot of managers don't enforce rules and procedures and have less accountability than they should. It's about holding onto worthless employees for dear life or have no workers at all. Most employees of this generation have very little if any self discipline, and have never had consequences for wrong doings. This Popeyes is bad, and has always been bad. My dad, who's worked in the area for 30 years, has told me that a looong time ago he had come to eat here and found a dead roach in his soda. This place is disgusting and needs to be put out of its misery.
Every now and then, after getting burnt-out on the other terrible fast food places around here, we'll start thinking to ourselves, "Man I miss Popeyes french fries." "Man, they can't /still/ be bad. Maybe this time will be better." And we're always wrong. We'll come back to this place like 6 months after the last time- long enough to have forgotten whatever last nightmare experience happened- we'll come back all hopeful that we can get some decent food. And we're always wrong.
I get the blackened chicken. Luckily, since they don't have any fresh blackened chicken, they have to actually put in half an effort to make some fresh, so my chicken comes out reasonably hot. Sadly, the other people I grab food for usually get the fried chicken and it is always cold and always tasteless cardboard. Good luck asking for any sides other than fries. The rice in the red beans & rice are hard little uncooked pellets. The beans are more water than beans. Their tea is always days old and rancid, wretch-inducing swill of tea. It's the most depressing meal you could possibly eat.
